Where are the freeze plugs on a 96 dodge b2500 located?

the main ones are on the sides of the motor between the cylinders, 2 on each side. they are a little more than 1" in diameter. these are the ones that usually rot and leak. if you have a block heater it replaces a frost plug. follow the wire from the pug to the engine this will show the area the frost plug is in and the normal plug is beside it but between the next cylinder beside it. the same position on the other side of motor but you will not have a block heater on that side.

Where is location of engine block heater on subaru forester?

The location is a on the bottom of the engine block, just above where the oil dipstick enter the oil pan. If it does not have a block heater already installed, there will be a plug that takes a 14mm allen wrench/socket. Coolant must be drained to avoid being covered in it when the plug is removed.

Where do I find the block heater on my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The location of your block heater depends on which motor you have. If you have a 4.7L motor it is on the rear frost plug location on the right side of the engine (passenger side).

raineman_15_16.gif If you are installing a new one notice the direction the block heater points when it goes into the block (upwards).

If you have a 3.7L engine it looks like it is on the same side of the engine except that is is in the first frost plug location. Here is a picture of it.

Now if I understood your question wrong and you are just looking for the block hearts cord, open the hood and check inside the engine compartment or look agound your grill and front bumper area.

Good Luck

I am looking for the location of the block heater plug on a 1997 Golf diesel, thanks

There is no specific spot for a block heater. A block heater can be in any location the block currently has a freeze plug in. You'll need to look over the block carefully - you will see several round "ports" on the block and one of them will have a wire coming out of it. A freeze plug looks kind of like a small dish in the block, whereas a block heater will look more like a flat plug with a wire. It could be on the side or back of your motor - rarely is there room for a block heater on the front of a motor. Look in the front grill or in the general area of the radiator and you should see one end of a male electric cord( like the end of a lamp cord you stick in the wall ) . Follow this wire to the engine and it will lead you to the location of the block heater. You will probably need an inspection mirror and a flashlight to find the other end ( in the block).
Hope this helps!

How do I find the block heater . I need to find the block heater to plug it in but all I see are a bunch of wires near the IPM.

Your block heater may not be installed. It will be in a freeze plug location on the front of the motor. it will be a simple 3 wire plug that will fit an extension cord. The most likely place for it would be near a motor mount in the bottom of the block. If you cannot find a wire leaving the block area and heading to the fender well or radiator you may not have one installed and will need to install one.

Where is the coolant block drain plug located on

None on the block, other than freeze plugs...
The only drain is on the bottom of the radiator (you knew that)...

I installed a Prestone motor flush kit and it flushes just fine, but does not "empty" the engine cavities. This is better, anyway.

You have to splice a "Tee" fitting into a convenient heater hose (highest one).

Hope this helps..

Cant find location of Block hearter cord on 99 Chrysler

usually it is routed out near the headlight.... there is a good chance tho that vehicle doesn't have a block heater. look at the sides of the motor for round metal shaped plugs in the block (frost plugs) do you see any with an electrical fitting ?

Not all F150's came with them,, but typically on the straight sixes the plug into the block was on the passenger side of the engine.
But like i said,,not all F150's came with block heaters.
