Pontiac troubleshooting ABS AN TRAC LIGHT KEEP COMING ON

This is the TCS or Traction Control System. It helps keep the vehicle from being able to get stuck by forcing the torque to either tire. Usually there is a switch either on the dash or on the shifter that says TCS or TRAC press the switch and it should go off.

I have this same problem and had it checked. It is the wheel sensor. Mine is the passenger front right wheel sensor. According to the mechanic I take it to the GrandAm's are known for this. The part is about $40.

These two are linked together the abs light is probably on for a bad component like a wheel speed sensor or something like that, this will automatically trigger the TRAC light to come on. To check it must be done by a code scanner/computer. This can be check at an auto zone for free. Then I will be able to help with the code. hey, ihad this problem with abx and trac off light on all the time even after having replaced the wheel bearing twiice. how i fixed it was to replace the wiring harness and poof issue resolved. a technical service bulletin is available for this issue
