SOURCE: annual maintenance cost of 2002 mitsubishi lancer glxi

I would recommend you purchase a car that will strain your budget less - how good is owning a car that worries you? NONE --
Always - Also - take down the Vin # - call the local dealer and ask about recalls and service bulletins - you will be amazed. Some recalls must be fixed for the life of the vehicle.

SOURCE: AC/Heater control valve :Lancer 2003 Misubishi

The sliding switch on the console is stuck in the cold position and the knob is pulled off. Use pliers to jiggle the switch as best you can. Feel under the center console and you probably will find the cable that is hooked up to the flapper. You'll know because when you jiggle the cold/heater switch at the upper console, the cable will move slightly. At the hookup of the cable to the flapper down under the console (passenger side) try to work the flapper loose to the open (or close) position. At the same time work the sliding switch (with pliers). The flapper will come loose and function properly. Try not to knock of the AC button like I did in the process. It flew off some where under the passenger seat. I'll find it sometime before summer. Ha.

Location of the Ac low pressure switch 2007 Mkz

The low pressure switch (also known as the AC compressor switch) will be under the hood, it will be located in the low side AC line from the AC compressor, this is the larger of the two lines from the AC compressor. See picture below, looks like it has a three wire connector. Also what is the AC doing that makes you think this switch is defective? Cycling on and off constantly?

If my ac compressor on my 03 mitsubishi lancer went out and is blowing hot air. Do I need to get compressor and orifice tube or just compressor?

what you need is to have the problem properly diagnosed
just because a ac system is not cooling does not indicate TX valve or compressor problem
it is more likely a leak in the system ( rock through the condenser) cracked pipe , leaking hose or leaking seal at the ac compressor shaft
it could be electrical problems --fuse --wiring--ac compressor clutch
I suggest doing the check first as the compressor will cost around $700.00 aud and if you have not got the correct gas in and have to have it up grade the the system has to be replaced as well and that will be around $2000.00 aud

Where is the air compressor dryer located on a 1999 mercury mystique

I assume you mean the ac compressor dryer. It is located on the large low pressure suction pipe between the ac compressor and the firewall of the vehicle. It is about the size of a tall beer can and will have the large pipe going in one side and out the other.

2004 mitsubishi lancer es a/c blows hot air, already check freon its good

Your AC compressor is probably bad. There's a plate on the front of the compressor that spins when you turn the AC on. If it's not spinning when you turn the AC on, your compressor is bad.

Dear Friends, I have 2003 Lancer GLXI , I have a problem mention below When Engine and AC are started there is a vibrating noise of the bonnet. One local mechanic said its ECM problem. Car does not...

ECM - electronic control module? Maybe, but there are other issues to be checked first.

You AC is clearly not functioning.

The vibration when the AC is on may be the AC belt idler pulley, or perhaps the compressor clutch.
This is easily checked. The belt can be loosened, and the idler pulley checked for free rotation. At the same time, (engine off) the compressor pulley should be easily rotated. The compressor clutch is controlled by the thick single wire that runs to the compressor. Locate the connector to the main wiring loom and disconnect it.

Run a wire from the battery to the clutch wire. You should hear a load click as the compressor clutch engages. You should be able to rotate the compressor pulley, but there will be a significant load resistance. If the compressor seems jammed, then I'd suspect it has a serious problem.

There's a High pressure A/C valve some where near the front of the car. The cap is probably light blue. Press the valve inside momentarily. If you hear a loud psssttt, the AC pressure is probably OK. If you get a soft sssss sound, you've lost pressure. The usual reason is age or pin holes in the condensor in front of the radiator.

2002 mitsubishi lancer ac does not blow cold and will continue to

Sounds like either the a/c relay is bad or a/c compressor clutch is not disengaging. Look on the compressor for an electrical connector, and if you can, unplug it. That should stop the battery drain. I would suggest taking the car into a good a/c shop to have the compressor looked at. The clutch can be replaced without having to buy a new compressor.
