Check the cylinder compression first, they should be more than 95 psi, if low check the timing and the valves. If normal, plug in a scan tool to see any code present.

SOURCE: my 87 toyota camry wont start has spark and fuel

does it have the 4 cylinder engine? if yes you could have broken timing belt witch opens and closes intake and exhaust valves. same for V6 engines.the belt must be replaced and engine crank and cam shafts retimed with new belt istallation. one to tell is when cranking the engine turns over kinda fast.

Where is Schrader valve located on 1997 rav4 to check fuel pressure.

I don't have a 1997 Toyota RAV4 so I can't tell you exactly but it is on the fuel rail that connects all the injectors to the fuel system.

Car wont start

My routine to check non-starting motors: (petrol/gas models)

  • Check immobilizer status
  • Check fuel supply -does it reach the fuel rail when starting. If not OK, check 12v supply to fuel pump when starting. If OK, fuel pump maybe dead.If not present, check fuel pump fuse and relay.
  • If fuel supply is OK, check spark ignition. If not OK, follow the supply circuit backwards to the ECM. Coils and/or ignition amplifier connector should have one 12v supply to it when ignition switch is on.
For Diesels with 'common rails' you can take same approach for fuel. No ignition testing possible. The diesel fuel pump still needs battery power. It will make some sound when IGN is on. If not, check ALL fuses and relays.

Toyota siena 98 no started

There are hundreds of things that can keep your vehicle from starting. Nobody can help you with that unless there is a lot more information available. Is the battery dead? Do you have spark? Does the vehicle have fuel in the tank? Do the fuel rails have fuel pressure? Is the security light flashing? Is there an aftermarket alarm system installed?....etc.....etc..

Engine cranks but wont start.

You'll want to start by checking the fuel pump. Turn on the ignition and listen if you can hear the fuel pump working. If nothing, check fuses & relay for the fuel pump.

I put a new fuel pump in my 1998 pontiac transport with the 3.4 motor and it still wont start. it has spark and cranks over but wont start

remove the fuel line from the fuel rail and turn the ignition on, if the pump is working there should be fuel coming from the hose, if there is none go back to the fuel filter and remove the inlet hose from the fuel filter and turn the ignition on, if fuel comes out from there your fuel filter is blocked, if there is no fuel your pump is not working
