First check your fan connections to make sure they are not loosed. And does this problem happen on all fan speeds or just one? if it happens on only one speed, your fan speed controller is worn out.

You could have something caught in the interior air fan, it could be loose or broken, or it could have a bad bearing. Without knowing make, model and year, can't tell you much else to look at.

Interior fan has stopped but air con compressor starts when fan is switched on

look for blower motor. if not the case, the blower could just be broken. it can happen once the vehicle gets close to 10 years, but is usually preceded by a noise in the blower. most everything other than the blower, in the ac system, goes back to the mc unit.

hi,
some vehicles have a synchronised twin electric fan system that operates only when the AC is turned on, can you manually turn off the AC and see if that changes what you have just described.
If not then the climate air ( AC ) sensor may be faulty.

Relays click when interior fan is on

Often the click which can be heard when the A.C. kicks in is the clutch on the A.C. compressor. Be sure that it isn't just this sound which you are hearing.
Also check the operation of the idle control valve which is supposed to raise the engine revs to compensate for heavy power drain. If this isn't working correctly, then this would explain the lights dimming under low revs.

My engine overheats constantly. I have replaced the thermostat and the water pump and it still over heats my radiator is not leaking i have no idea on what to do

Make sure the cooling fan turns on. When the car is hot and idling and the temp gauge is high, make sure the electric cooling fan is on. If it does not come on, if you have AC, turn on the AC and see if the fan turns on. If it turns on with AC but not by itself, then the temp switch is not working. It the fan does not turn on with AC, then the fan is broken, wire broken, fuse blown.

Interior cooling fan does not turn on

Yes, it could be a fan relay, but more likely it is a motor that burnt out.
They seem to burn out in equal frequency, because in my experience it one or the other or even both that should be replaced at servicing time.

Good luck with this repair.

Replaced relay, but both electric fans won't come on

Are we talking about the cooling fans for the engine and AC condenser?? Only one cooling fan will cycle on and off during normal operation. The main cooling fan will cycle on and off as needed for cooling the engine. If you turn on the AC or select a defrost mode on your climate control then the 2nd additional fan will run usually continuously in order to condense the freon in your AC system for cooling the interior of your car and in defrost mode it helps to reduce interior moisture on the glass (defog/ defrost). If no fan comes on at any time whether the engine is hot or cold or whether you turn on the AC or not and you have already replaced a cooling fan relay and checked related fuses then either the fan /s are bad or you dont have power in or out of the fan circuit which consists of several components that would need to be checked. Let us know if you find anything else or have additional questions.

Brake lights / horn / climate fans not turning on

Hi,

I suggest you check the main relays - any auto electrician should be able to find a faulty relay.

Safe motoring.
