Truck jerks when driving - like it is not getting enough fuel There is also a whistling sound when gas pedel is pressed

Check all vacuume lines for leaks. Also is the whistling sound comming from the speakers inside the truck or from under the hood?

No power, jerking bad 1998 cavalier

Possible dirty fuel filter. I'd start there first, as it's the cheapest route, and quite possibly replacing the filter will solve your problem.
