Question about 2008 Cadillac Escalade Ext

I have an 02 escalade and my auto leveling system

I have a 03 Escalade and towed my travel trailer last night to a campground 3 hours away. When we left the auto leveler worked perfectly. When we arrived, I saw that the trailer hitch was very low to the ground and the levelers had stopped working. The back of the Escalade was very low with the camper hitched. Is there a fuse to check? Other things to check?

I did not see a fuse and relay box under the hood, but I did pull the side panel off the drivers side of the dashboard. There is a fuse block diagram, with fuses underneath. Most of the descriptions are abbreviated. Can you tell me which one I am looking for? This is a 2003 Escalade.

    Thanks

My mistake. I found the fuse box under the hood (much larger box than I was looking for). Can you help me determine which fuses are involved with the auto leveler? Is it "truck body controller ignition", "ride control"?

I pulled the truck body controller ignition fuse and it does not look burnt. If this fuse is good, what would be the next thing to check?

We hit a bunch of potholes while traveling last night. Could we have knocked something else loose?

Thanks for your help. I changed the fuse, and checked the wiring connections. The auto levelers started working and we towed our camper 185 miles successfully home. Thanks!

Most likely the accident damaged the body controller wiring to the levelers. wiring can be tested using a voltmeter on leveler connectors. Wiring can be tested using a volmeter at connectors.

Yes there is a fuse to check.

Look under the hood you will find a black box on driver side should say fuses and relays. diagram on the inside lid of box.

No other checks required at this point.

Thank You

03 escalade won't start or turn over

Do you have power?
battery might be drained cause your alternator is not charging anymore, 2003, seems about time for a new alternator, those vehicles consume lots of power cause pretty much everything is electric, lots of motors and servos, so they depend a lot on a good power source from the battery. If alternator doesnt charge it, no power...

have power system checked.

Good luck.

Question about safety or car stabilty with no mechanical problems. I have a 2002 Escalade SUV with tow capabilities: I am thinking about towing a Volvo S70 over 2400 miles from Oregon to Dallas via west...

it should do it with no problem, use a tow dolly on the volvo or you will ruin the trans, or if all wheel drive volvo you will deed a flatbed trailer.

Hello I have a 2005 Cadilac Escalade ESV and want

Read your owner's manual. It's usually not safe to tow awd vehicles over 45mph or for long distances. Your best bet is a trailer, steering wheel lock and ratchet straps with the vehicle parked front wheels in front of the front wheels of the trailer. But then again, your owner's manual may say something different.

Service ride control

It's time to replace the rear shocks. There expensive like $250.00 and up each and if your not going to be towing, most people replace them with a good set of shocks and not the factor OEM air shock which you have for the auto ride height system. If your going to just buy and good set of normal gas shocks. Pull the fuse to     the auto ride system so the light on the dash is off.
Good luck and hope this helps. The auto ride system was there for towing heavy trailers to keep the ride hight. The rear suspension is actually soft so you have a soft ride and the shock keeps it from bouncing. If your not towing heavy or carring heavy loads, you should be fine with a conventional gas shocks and you may find it better. I found the Monroe Reflex shocks to be more stable then the OEM around corners and highway driving.
