SOURCE: 2002 chrysler town and country wont leave limp mode

try getting a new shift solenoid for it. i had the same problem on my 2002 chrysler town and country and my plymouth breeze which is also a dodge product. it is very simple to do and doesnt take all that long. the part will probably run you about 150 to 200 dollars but it should fix your problem.

SOURCE: limp home mode

You need to scan for engine trouble codes. Most parts stores will do this for free, and tell you what they mean and make recommendations on what to do. The 'limp mode' kicks in to prevent damage to the vehicle when the computer gets data that something is wrong.. When you shut it off, it's temporarily reset, but then the cars computer is signaling there is still a problem, and it goes back into limp mode. If you have any questions after getting the codes 'read' , post questions and code #;s here for help. Good luck.

SOURCE: 2004 GMC Sierra 4dr truck. the fan does not work

The switch or the wire harness at the blower motor has gone bad. The highest setting 5 has no resistor, so the blower runs on high but the high current flow ends up burning up the switch's contact on that setting or the resistor wire harness at the blower motor has gone bad. Common would be the switch it self, if the switch is good. Then it's going to be the wire leads at the speed resistor by the blower motor under the glove box by the passenger leg compartment. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your Sierra running 100% again soon.

SOURCE: error code P0093, no fuel leak, filter changed

Hello! #1; The injection pump inlet hose has been known to kink which will cause this fault...The line is foam covered...#2; Have you changed the Fuel Rail Pressure Regulator?
If so, the connector and its wiring may be open or resistive...The wiring is as follows...Purple White from regulator to ECM pin #42...Yellow from regulator to ECM pin #77...Check with an ohm meter set on X1 scale...Most important is the condition of the FRPR connector...Radio shack has a product called DOXIT...It cleans contacts by merely
spraying...No-touch cleaning...Excellent product...$14.95...Two spray cans (small) one cleans the other protects...Not much is necessary...Also clean the connector for the Fuel Pressure Sensor...Wiring; Tan...Orange/Black...And Yellow,,,

I have a 2004 rx8 when you start it it runs great until it warms up & goes into limp mode. Turn it off & back on most of the time its fine for about a mile then back into limp mode. Please HELP

first option is to have the fault codes read
limp mode is activated by both the engine and transmission sensors
going to limp mode so quick could be an overheating problem , transmission vss/tcm problem or ECM fault
by reading the fault codes , you will get a better idea of the problem

Keeps going into limp mode about 4 or 5 times a day. have to stop shut off and it begin to shift normally. how do i bypass limp mode?

Limp mode is there to protect the engine. You need to take it to someone that has a Code Reader to find out why it is doing this. It would be foolish to try and bypass it because you will further damage the engine. However, if you really want to self destruct, here is a video

I gotr a 98- 4L60E trans in limp mode & want to bypass neutral saftey switch. Can you help?

Bypassing the neutral safety switch won't help with the transmission problem. That switch is only wired into the start circuit.
Scan the computer for trouble codes. Has to be a code if it is in limp-in mode.

2008 GMC sierra code # p2135

Most of the time with the 5.3L in the GM vehicles it is a problem with the Throttle body for P1235 code. Usually you can pull the air intake off the throttle body, take a rag with some break cleaner and open the plate. Clean the inside of plate and throttle body. I will probably be Black Gunk build up that comes off. Just clean it really well. The sensor between the pedal and the throttle body have match signals. If one is off then it goes into reduced power mode. So this can be caused by this residue build up. It usually will fix your issue. It can come back but it will get you back on the road and help take you out of limp mode or reduced power mode.

Engine sputters and backfires, the only code is for the modulator...can this be the problem? it's gone into limp-in mode many times and we've bypassed it many times by shutting off the car and restarting...

Yes, it could be the Modulator. Once the ECM starts going into limp mode it causes other problems and bypassing it to continue to drive normally without fixing that problem causes damage to the motor and systems over time. You've probably been running rich on the fuel mixture and may have damaged the O2 Sensors. Replace the modulator and reset the system and that should solve the issues. Problem being if this has caused further damage to other components you will start seeing the codes for those after you replace the modulator.

LIGHT COMES ON SAYS REDUCE ENGINE POWER THEN TRUCK SLOWS DOWN SO I TURN OFF THE TRUCK TURNIT BACK ON THEN TRUCK RUNS NORMAL WHATS GOING ON

I'm pretty sure the computer is calling for the 'limp home' mode and if it is, some potentially damaging circumstance is causing it. The chain auto parts stores will scan your computer free and this will give you a code (or more than one) revealing generally what the problem is.
Give the nearest one a call to confirm that they still do that free.

Added a bottle of diesel kleen to prevent smoking on 03 duramax, shortly after truck went into limp mode, i have changed fuel filter twice and it clears for about 2 minutes and then goes back into limp...

You need to have the codes checked. The injectors in your engine have an issue where they either bypass fuel back to the tank or crack the body and fuel goes into the oil pan.

The warranty period goes to 200k miles, sorry I don't remember how many years, I think it was 7 years.

If you had a smoke problem before you used the kleaner you already have an injector problem.
