Locating the starter on a "97" Mazda 626 and how to take it loose

My car won't start. The lights and the radio come on but my car won't budge. It isn't catching or anything. I tried to give it a jump start. Nothing.

When i try to start my 97 mazda 626 it clicks but won't turn over and other times it starts.. What's the problem?

It sounds like your starter motor is going out. More specifically the solenoid on your starter motor, and since the they are both connected these days unlike the older vehicles you like need to replace the whole starter motor. I hope this helps you out.

626 1997 Mazda want crank

Start by making sure you have a good battery, or a good charge on the battery. locate the starter signal wire on the starter , usually the small wire, connect your test light. have a friend turn the key and see if test light lights up. if so, your starters bad, replace the starter and you should be good to go.

My car stopped starting.

Based on the information you have supplied, the car is not shifting in to the correct position. So when you try starting the car , it will not allow the starter to crank thinking it is not in park (which it is not...in reverse) I suspect that the shifter cable from lever to the transmission has become stretched over time and use. It can be adjusted at the transmission to shift cable hook up. The connection at the lever base could have also get disconnected. Try that first

When i start it clicks. i thought it was the battery, i put a new one and it still clicks. The lights, radio and everything is on, but it doesn't start. I got a Mazda 99 626 I need help, please!

by the sounds of it the starter is the problem, some time if you can get to it if you hit the body of the starter and then try to start it it will start up some times not. you can try this but you will in the end have to replace it. if you do hit it and and it starts the starter has started to go bad.

I can't loosen the left front wheel bearing nut on my 1991 Mazda 626. I have tried a lot of extra torquing on the wrench, and have tried heating the nut with a plumbers propane torch, but it won's budge.

It should be a left-hand thread. Have you tried reversing your wrench direction? This should loosen it.

I trust that you had taken the cotter pin out of the castle nut.
