Stopped car, put into park and got out. Car is Toyota 2005 Avalon. Car zoomed off and drove approx. 1000 feet before crashing into tree. All recalls were supposedly corrected by Toyota. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Your radiator fan stopped working maybe a blown fuse bad relay or radiator fan switch. When you drive the car get air and cools down when you are in park the fan is supposed to provide the air if needed but its not working. However the fan itself could be burnt out and may need to be replaced. Good Luck

the other areas the fault could be located are in your meter circuit plate (which is part of your combination meter), it could be in the wiring, or possibly your multi display (also part of your combination meter)
