Does the camshaft sensor have anything to do with the fuel injectors (1995 izuzu rodeo)

sure does.
the engine has 2 sensors,
cam and crank
together the 2 tell ECU where #1 fires and all cylinders fire.
and on new cars with sequential injection the injectors are fired 1 my one, timed from both.
why not post symptoms.
if you connect any scan tool made, it will tell you when either sensors is bad, if cranked for 5seconds. will
post symptoms and stop guessing.

P0017 Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor B)

Symptoms of a P0017 will or may include: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination The engine may run but with reduced performance The engine may crank but not start The engine may exhibit a rattle near the harmonic balancer indicating the tone ring is damaged The engine may start and run, but poorly Causes Causes may include: Timing chain stretched, or timing belt skipped a tooth due to wear Misalignment of timing belt/chain Tone ring on crankshaft slipped/broken Tone ring on camshaft slipped/broken Bad crank sensor Bad cam sensor Damaged wiring to crank/cam sensor Timing belt/chain tensioner damaged An improperly torqued crankshaft balancer A mis-built or mis-timed engine A loose or missing crankshaft balancer bolt The CMP actuator solenoid stuck open The CMP actuator stuck in a position other than 0 degrees

P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

Symptoms may include: the engine may be harder to start the engine may stumble / stumble, and/or hesitate other symptoms may also be present Causes A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: Faulty spark plugs or wires Faulty coil (pack) Faulty oxygen sensor(s) Faulty fuel injector(s) Burned exhaust valve Faulty catalytic converter(s) Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages Faulty camshaft position sensor Defective computer

Symptom of bad crankshaft sensor on 2000 yukon denali

A crank sensor will usually fail and set a trouble code in the computer.
Once the engine starts the ignition gets a signal from the cam sensor and uses the crank sensor as a reference point.
If the crank sensor fails it generally keeps the engine from starting.

Symptoms camshaft sensors

your 98 buick is equipped with an obd2 diagnostic system, a faulty cam sensor will throw a trouble code causing a check engine or service engine soon light. however cylinder misfire or poor signal to coil pack/packs would be a symptom if for some reason the obd2 or ecm was faulty and not throwing a code

WHAT IS THE CODE P0341

This P0341 code basically means that the powertrain control module (PCM) detected a problem with the camshaft signal. The camshaft position sensor (CPS) sends a specific signal to the PCM for Top Dead Center on the compression stroke as well as signals indicating the position of the cam sensor. This is accomplished through a reluctor wheel attached to the camshaft that passes by the cam sensor. Any time that the signal to the PCM is inconsistent with what the signal should be, this code is set. NOTE: this code can also be set by extended cranking periods.
FB.init("dd7d9e9681341cde77587bc6a2029f6f"); OBD-Codes.com on Facebook Symptoms The car will likely run with this code set, as it is often intermittent and also because the PCM can often operate the vehicle in "limp-in/limp-home" mode even with a cam sensor signal problem. There may be no noticeable symptoms other than:
  • Poor fuel economy (if engine runs)
  • Possible no start condition
Causes A code P0341 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Cam sensor wiring routed too close to spark plug wiring (causing interference)
  • Poor wiring connection at cam sensor
  • Poor wiring connection at PCM
  • Bad cam sensor
  • Damaged reluctor wheel
Possible Solutions Often relacing the sensor fixes this code, but not necessarily. Therefore it's important to check the following:
  • Check that the wiring isn't routed too close to any secondary ignition components (coil, spark plug wires, etc.)
  • Visually inspect the wiring at the sensor for any burn marks, discoloration indicative of melting or chafing
  • Visually inspect the cam sensor for damage
  • Visually inspect the reluctor wheel through the cam sensor port (if possible) for any missing teeth or any damage
  • If reluctor isn't visible from outside the engine, visual test can only be done by removing cam shaft or intake manifold (depending on engine design)
  • If all checks out okay, then replace the sensor.
