Not really no. There are kits available but all to often there are laws and standards for vehicles in which the conversions do not abide by. Make sure you research what is legal before attempting such, usually is not worth it.

2000 dodge caravan will not shift out of 1st gear

Actually it's stuck in second gear. That trans is an A-604 ultradrive and when the sensors read a problem it will put it second gear rather than letting it slip. This is great if you're in the desert and need to get home but it sucks if you're on the highway and trying to keep up with everyone so you don't get run over. From here though you need to go to a transmission shop that has a scan tool and can see what the tranny is doing electronically. Sometimes a bad sensor, solenoids or wiring. Sometimes the sensor is actually reading that the tranny is slipping and needs repair. Bad sensors and solenoid pack are common through those years. I hope this helps.

Transmition

it is indeed under the trans pan. the trans pan is on the driver side of the car. it should have a fairly large drain bolt in it.

my i suggest that unless this service is absolutely needed that you leave your transmission alone.

chances are that your transmission is already malfunctioning, and if thats the case you will need a new transmission. as fluid changes have no effect on ultradrive transmissions that are malfunctioning.

in fact fluid changes on working ultradrive transmissions have been known to make them non-functional.

AND ONLY USE ATF+4 TRANNY FLUID

Automatic tranny will not shift out of low gear. check engine on

you will need to replace your transmission, this is a very common problem with the ultradrive transmissions.

if you have added any fluid to the transmission chances are it was the wrong type.
