Question about 2004 Mazda 6
Where is the location of the airbag module for a 2004 Mazda6 Sedan, and what is necessary to get to it? If me front airbags deployed, do I need to replace any other components besides the module and airbags?
It is positioned in the very centre of the dash board, behind the radio/Air con unit, it is bolted to the floor, you will need to remove the dash board and possibly the air con unit to access. once the module and air bags have been replaced it shouldnt need anything else.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: Airbags deployed
You have to disconnect the battery, replace the air bag modules (air bag modules are the things that explode in your face) and the crash sensors and the control unit or module that came with it. Reconnect the battery and the car should start. Hope this is helpful.

I had a similar problem on my 2003 VW Jetta. The airbag light lit and would not go off. If it's the same problem, you have to take it in for servicing and the tech has to turn it off.
I think it's a way for them to get you to come in for a "recommended" service if you ask me. They said it was dangerous, but it is your airbag...

SOURCE: my airbag light stays on
I just had my car worked on in one shop, a HYUNDAI ATOS 2000 they fixed a bad windshield wiper mechanism, but after the repair, my airbag light remained illuminated,
the garage mechanic tried with 2 diagnostic computers to
'reboot' my cars own computer, but neither of his devices could communicate with my car,
I had to go to another garage with a proper computer
the repair took only 5 seconds!!
sobs!, they charged me $50 for the 'work'......the first garage evidenlty, touched something, and I had to pay the bill......live & learn,.
before this I tried all the 'tricks' like disconnecting the battery,
first neg, then pos, nothing else worked, damned computers!!
