Radio and electric windows inop

I have a 2006 ford mustang pony package. Last year the hurricanes put my car under water and just in the last week the windows and radio no longer work. the windows will not roll down nor up, but when u open the door they will go down an inch or so then when you close the door the window will roll back up. the radio on the other hand will turn on occasionally, and when it does there is no sound just the display on the unit works. once in a blue moon on a turn the radio will work for a second then not work any more. Have any ideas or maybe an amp orcontrol modual, if you u have an idea which one

Sounds like the water really screwed up the wiring harness and controls for the windows. Take inner door panel off and check wires for rust same thing with the window controls. radio and speakers you will have to do the same thing. All so check the fuses boxes for rust ones under the dash and ones in the engine compartment. You might have to replace most of the relays under the hood.

Auto windows. 1995 ford mustang. i need to know how to fix as it has slipped of the track

Or your window actuator may have a lock up issue/shot. Very common in late model fors cars. Fairly easy fix if you have a set of basic tools a manual for your stang and lastly a replacement part. Try not too expensive there last time I replaced mine in 2006. Was the window having issues prior to it happening or was this issue a sudden thing?

You either shorted something during the install of the radio causing the fuse to blow for the window. The other thing, if you put new speakers in the doors then you could have unplugged the switch on the drivers side.

Indicators not working

Check the fuses and panel for corrosion. Its highly likely that you have a water leak inside the car, causing the fuses to corrode. Id check all the fuses, and put electric grease on them all,...and then figure out where the water leak is coming from and fix it.

I have a 2006 ford mustang and the radio sound quit. The cd sound is fine, could a leak in the passenger side dash cause this problem?

I had the same problem when i had a leak on the passenger side dash. my radio went out. under the hood at the top you will have to remove the wipers and plastic cowling. under that is a drainage area with a rubber gromit for the water to feed out. if it is plugged just use your hand to remove any debris in the way. it will drain fine then. after the leak is stopped reset the radio. do this by either disconnecting the battery for a few minutes or disconnecting the switches under the passenger dash on the right side wall

The radio in my mustang turns on, but no sound. The cd player has sound

Seen this problem before on mustangs, usually you have to replace the stereo unit, complete with cd player. water leak under dash probably had nothing to do with it.

Windows won't auto up or go up that 1/2'' when you close door

Because you had it back to the dealer for the same problem whilst it was in warrenty, the warrenty is still valid. Its called a warrenty ongoing problem. The dealer must fix the problem and if you run into problems ask the dealer for the manufacturers warrenty complaint number. They will probably try a bit harder to fix the problem because it puts a blotch on their dealership if you complain to a higher level.Don't let them NOT fix it.Hope this helps

Intermittent electrical problem

Have your voltage regulator checked. On some vehicles the voltage regulator is built into the alternator. Voltage changing and giving too much or too little can cause all kinds of problems.

I kind of had the same problem. My locks would go up and down up and down . The problem was water running down the wires when it rained, carwash ,and would go into the sensor box and screw everything up! I had them seal the hole from the wires going through to the door "which was never done at ford!!! has not happened since .Took one day the place I bought the car wanted to take the quarter panel off and keep it for 3 weeks mind you I just bought the thing so dont be afraid to take it some where other than were you bought it.
