Question about Citroen Cars & Trucks
My 2010 citroen ds3 1.4 diesel timing belt teeth ripped off. After fitting a new timing belt kit and water pump, discovered that the engine locked up after a quarter turn, removed the cylinder head and found valves had come into contact with the pistons, replaced the bent valves and broken cam followers. Checked that crank shaft could rotate when the cylinder head was off and seemed ok. checked the camshaft and valve operation wen the cylinder head was off too, all seemed ok! After rebuilding it, I fitted the timing belt once again locking the camshaft with an 8mm pin and locking the crankshaft pulley with a 6mm pin where instructed. When I rotate the engine (clockwise) about 1 quarter turn it locks up. How can this be? I also checked key ways, also ok!

Its because your pistons on 1&4 are up top that is why your bent valves got bent you are doing exactly the same thing so turn the crank back 15degrees position your cam and reset your crank,it seems to me you may be out of your depth lets hope not or it may be expensive
