Question about 2007 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T Sedan

1 Answer

Engine skipping Engine skips(cuts back, hesitation) while accelerating. Had a misfire in 4 cylinders(engine light w/cylinder misfire codes). Had 4 MDS modules replaced. Tech told me that was the problem. They test drove it and said it was good. The next day the problem reappeared with no engine light this time. The engine is still skipping and cutting back while accelerating fast but no engine light has come on. There's a ''big'' problem but they(TECH) can't seem to diagnose without a code. Current mileage is 35,885. 2007 Charger w/Hemi

I have a 2000 chevy comaro, v6 3.8. It has no get up and go.. ive changed the sparkpugs and wires as well as the alternator, it haseems a skip to it and hesitates wen driving and takes min to change

How many miles on this engine? If there is an engine misfire, the trouble code should tell you which cylinder other than p0300. Then on a particular cylinder, you check fuel--spark--compression. Any applicable trouble codes? Did you use a gage and check proper fuel pressure?
A problem at higher rpms, the generic info says to check for a blockage of some kind, fuel--air--exhaust.
A problem at idle, generic info says to check for a leak of some kind, fuel--egr--vacuum.
When you say takes a minute to change? Are you talking about shifting gears--automatic, if so check vehicle speed sensor.

Why does my 1998 Buick Century cutting out or skipping when driving and makes the engine light flash

Misfiring. Have the codes read. Code number p0301 is number 1 cylinder. p0304 would be number 4 cylinder and so on.

Would need my head under the bonnet to find the answer ,from your description it could now be a injector who knows but take the plug out and see if its all wet and black then go from this point as fault could be a coil pack /valves or fuel injector but as you havent stated year then again it could have a coil on each cylinder or a remove coil pack as you stated it has HT leads (wires)

Check engine light report: cylinder 2 mis-fire, engine skipping, hesitant acceleration,

Use a different fuel station. First run the fuel tank low before refilling elsewhere.

Intermittent Skip under light acceleration

May still be a bad coil that just hasn't reached the number of misfires to set a trouble code.

97 ford expedition cutting off at idle . it was skipping and hesitating under strain . had it checked by a computer and it said egr valve and number 6 cylinder misfire . i changed egr valve , plugs, wires...

pull wire off # 2 see if idle changes if not there s no spark... test coil....test all vacuum lines for leaks also. if all good then idle speed sensor.

Vsc & check engine light on. Code reads cylinder 2 misfire I have changed the plugs swaped coil with another cylinder swaped vsv's swaped injector plugs with another cylinder always shows misfire #2...

You may need to look at your exhaust system. If you have a leak, your O2 sensors will send the wrong reading to your engine which will in turn tell your engine to fire differently. Your code will come up reading as a misfired bank. See if you have an exhaust leak first, then see about changing out the O2 sensors behind the leak.

Engine code: Misfire cylinder 1. Replaced plugs

There should be no built up fuel or oil in cylinder. The fuel will be burned off immediately, and there should have been very little unless you have a leaking injector. The only way oil will enter the cylinder is if you have a mechanical failure like worn rings or leaking valve seals. If after replacing the plugs and wires did not correct all or the skip after the first start up and road test then you have another issue causing the skip
