The abs wiring is in wheel bearing . you could have a bad bearing . a shop with a scanner could tell you witch one is bad or has wiring problems. aleros wiring run down lower control arm to wheel bearing. on control arm the wires get cut inside plastic loom and you cant see it till you pull them out and look .once you fix problem the lights will go out on there own.

Service vehicle soon, anti-lock, trac off all on

You need a new wheel bearing, This also happened to my olds alero, make sure 2 jack up each tire 1 at a time and pull back and forth on them checking for play, once you have found the 1 that has play or wobbles that is the 1 that needs a new wheel bearing

Olds intrigue warning lights on...

It is a sign that you either have a bad wheel bearing or 1 off your speed censors on 1 of the tires is bad, I just had this problem with my olds alero, but it was a wheel bearing that needed replaced.

When I turn the steering wheel the low trac light

The steering wheel position, wheel speed sensors, and ABS systems are all used to provide traction control. You likely have a failure of one or more systems. Scan the ABS system and it will provide codes to help the diagnosis. Wheel speed sensors fail often, and it is likely one or more of these is contributing to the problem.

2001 olds alero, anti lock light on

I had the same problem when I first got my Alero. The problem turned out to be a bad wheel bearing. Seems odd, but I guess it's a common problem with Aleros. It's held up for two years without any further incident.

Lights on for service engine soon anti lock and trac off

Id have to know what code has triggered the Service Engine Soon light in order to diagnose that. It could be related to the anti-lock and traction control system being off or it could be something separate.

That said, it is common for the anti-lock and traction control to be turned off if one or more of the wheel speed sensors goes bad. In some cases the wheel speed sensors are separate from the wheel bearings but in your case I believe they are integrated with the wheel bearing, so in order to replace the sensor you have to replace the wheel bearing.

In order to know which wheel bearing is the culprit, you'd have to have the car hooked up to a scan tool capable of reading ABS codes.

Anti-Lock and Trac Off lights are lit on my 1999 Alero, as well. They usually come on after about 5 minutes of driving, but are not always on when I start the car.

I have an 2001 oldsmobile alero and everytime i turn my car on, my sensor lights immediately go off: service vehicle soon, service engine soon, anti-lock, and trac off. whats causing these problems, i've...

you have a problem known to many alero and pontiac grand am cars you have a bad wheel bearing, this is a common problem with these cars and they will not do a recall on need to have your front wheel bearing hubassemblies replaced its not a bad job can be done by a decent backyard mechanic but a lot cheaper then going to the dealer, just save your reciepts in case they do recall your car for this problem they will reimburse you for your cost. If you have service engine light on, trac. off light and the ABS light on the same time, you may be able to get it fixed my reprogramming the power control module (with updated software calibration).
