Question about 1988 Pontiac LeMans

Throwing gas from unknown part

I have a 1967 Pontiac Lemans, 326in V8, it is throwing gas out of some part that is mounted to the motor where the fuel line comes from the tank and before it goes to the carb, any idea what the name of this part is.

I think what you have is just a failed fuel injection fuel pump, the pump is located inside the fuel tank and the fuel tank must be removed to access and replace the pump assembly.

A Buddie of mine bought a 1990 pontiac lemans of a guy he knew for 150$ and the engine cranks but will not turn over. we checked the plugs and they were fine. it has a new distrubuter and wires as well as...

take some WD40 and spray into the intake, if it acts likes it wants to start then it is the fuel system. Take the line off before the filter see if it pumping gas, if not then it is the fuel pump, then after the filter and see if it pumping gas, then at the engine. Now if it does not act like it wants to start it is the ignition system. Good Luck Tim

Where is the location of the fuel filter on a 1991 Pontiac LeMans LE ?

Most GM cars the fuel filter is located under the car by the left rear wheel. Be sure you wait at least a half hour after running the car to remove the filter, the system retains pressure for a while.
