Pull the door panel (look for hidden screws) The handle bolts in with a rod that hooks to it. If it's an inner door panel, it's held in with a screw through the middle. Then just work the handle out, and take the rod off. It's easy to figure out once you rub noses with it

The interior door handle to my car is broken and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. Seems like the cable broke by the handle. Another person asked a question like this before, but nobody seems to...

your probably exactly right... this can be a rather difficult one to explain.. because im not sure how your door handle is set up.. best way to do it is take the door panel off by removing the few screws that are in the armrest, most likely one by the handle, and maybe a couple along the bottom of the door. once those are out the panel is also held with clips, i usuall start at the bottom corner off the door and work my way up tward the window, then across the bottom and up the front of the panel until its completely lose, lift it out, and you will be able to see the cable that goes to the handle, either the handle itsself broke, or the plastic clip that the cable sets in broke, or came un snaped.. if the clip is still there push, the rod back on it and snap it.. if its not.. well you will need one... hope this helps you out more than confusing you.

1995 Beretta: The passenger side door handle broke while opening...

it is an easy fix! there are 4 screws needing to come off the door to gain access to the interior. once in you will need to release a clip and also remove a bar from either an orange or black clip....once these are removed, you put in the new door handle, attach the clips back on, attach the screws and you are ready to go!

My drivers side door handle broke. How can I replace it?

you will have to remove the inner door panel, remove screws holding panel, then unhook linkage to handle, next unbolt handle from door and remove, next is to remove lock and install on new handle, now reinstall, hope this helps, im guessing its the outside handle. here a diagram to help you.2662b88.gif

Outside door handle not working

i have a 94 2dr cutlass and the same thing happend to me, now i can tell u how to fix the problam but the door has to be open to fix, so if your in the same boat i was with both door handles broke then there was only two ways i could think of to get the doors open with both handles broke, ether go threw the trunk and break the seat of break a widow witch is what i did, and once ur window is broke dont replace glass untill handles are fixed. what u do is once the door is open look on the inside behind handle and there is a black cover that has a few screws on it, remove this and u will have a perfect view of the lever assembly, i went to my local junk yard and got me two handles that were that were in good shape, and one u see how it works its a pretty easy fix

Door handle

take handle off on inside/ should be one screw/ push or pull rod and it should unlock. Power door lock motor may be froze up common problem with that model. Not using the doors can cause them to lock up also.
