a flashing check light usually means a problem needs to be attended to right away most auto store such as advanced auto/auto zone etc offer free scanning to trouble code will give u a start location so u can make repairs if necessary
Look at owners manual depending on the milage the maintence light goes on to remind you that certain items must be serviced. Do not take this reminder too lightly.
IT IS A MILEAGE LIGHT WITH THE KEY OFF HOLD THE SELECT RESET BUTTON ON DASH AT THE SAME TIME TURN KEY ON THE LIGHT WILL FLASH ONE TIME KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OFF TURN KEY OFF THEN START CAR LIGHT SHOULD GO OFF AFTER A COUPLE OF SECONDS AND SHOULD BE RESET
this is just your maintence minder. the reset procedure should be in your owners manual. the vehicle calculates when its due for an oil change and turns the light on but it should be reset every oil change if its on or not. you can can your local acura/honda dealer and they can explain how to reset
Look at the owners manual it will tell you how to turn it off. But before you do that check your milage with the maintance interval list located in the owners manual. The maintance light goes on when a certain milage is obtained which will describe the type of maintence is required.
reset: turn ignition on...push odometer button till it displays mileage on car...not trip milage but actual mileage. Turn car off. Open driver's door, press and hold odometer button....turn ignition to on....hold odometer button for 10 seconds....odometer display will show -----,----,---,--,-,0000000....maintenance lights are reset...lights will come on every 7500 miles to remind you to change oil and check fluids etec....
turn ur key on , press ur odometer trip button till u get to ur oil life...once ur oil life is displyed, depress the button and hold it down till your oil life begins to flash, after it starts flashing, release the button then depress it and hold it down till it resets the oil life to 100%....your maint light and oil life should now be reset...
turn key to on position
(DO NOT START) press and release gas pedal 3 times.
leave key on the change engine oil light flashes 5 times than goes away and its reset
The place that changed your oil should have done this for you
turn the key off, then hold the odometer reset button in, turn key on and keep holding, the light will flash off then on once, keep holding until light stays out, start car and all should be ok
i heard that it might do that because u have to reset the oil thing when you change is that true?
