Anyone solve the problem of excess vibration with this vehicle - especially when the fan motor is on - is this all worn-out mounts?

Does the car stall on hard stops or turns? when it is in park does it shake less than when it is in gear.. If it shakes more while driving, it may be the tensioner, which is the bracket that is with the belt next to the alternator. sometime when driving it may squeak, then stop completly. If it just shakes, then it is your motor mounts. try tightning them and see if they are corroded. you may need to replace them

It is usually engine mounts, but the fan blade could also be out of balance, or the fan motor has a bad bearing, have seen this more than once

I have a 2004 gmc envoy with a 4.2 has a slight vibration while at idle but my main concern is why my entire motor and vehicle shakes violenty when i shut the vehicle off.

I think what you might have is called dieseling on shut off. Newer engines run much hotter than older vehicles and require a fuel shut off solenoid close to the engine. If this solenoid goes bad, on vehicle shut off, excess fuel is still being fed to the engine. Even though there is no spark because the key is off, the engine is hot enough to ignite the fuel causing the shake and shudder. I'm not 100% sure of this but thats what it sounds like. If the solenoid is working properly and shuts off the fuel line like it should there is no excessive fuel to ignite. Thus no shake or shudder.

Can bad 02 sensors cause the engine to vibrate and make a humming noise? or bad motor mounts

Bad O2 sensors affect the fuel/air mixture. Vibrations can be caused by many sources, hard to diagnose here. To test the motor mounts. apply the parking brake, open the hood. Put the car in drive and step on the brake with one foot while applying full throttle with the gas pedal. Watch for excessive engine lifting on one side. Be careful not to have the engine fan to contact the shroud. Now do the same in reverse. If the engine lifts excessively, your mounts are shot. If the engine stays put with only a slight movement from torque, then the mounts are good.

Mazda 2006 3 automatic vubration problems

Would need a little more detail but it sounds like it could be motor mount or possibly tranny mounts depending I Where you feel the vibration a good test confirm motor mounts is to put into drive with hood open have someone stand to the side of vehicle hold down brake and slowly rev engine you should be able to see engine move a little bit of movement is ok but if it is excessive the It is more than likely the motor mounts

Vehicle stalls when turning and at highway speed

Check motor mounts and transmission mount
Also check the air tube (TOP AND BOTTOM) for hairline crack.

A loss motor mount can cause excessive vibration and damage the air inlet tube.

1990 toyota celica gts 2200 motor vibration when idled up

You may want to check your motor mounts. If the mounts are broken or just too old they will cause the engine to have excessive vibration your notice also when shifting to drive or reverse it will feel like the vehicle jumps. replacing the mounts will help if they are damaged or may be that the vehicle needs a tune up.

Mazda cx9 vibration

Raise the vehicle off the ground, wiggle front tires left and right, excessive play tells you tie rods, up and down tells the wheel bearing condition, but have another set of eyes looking on the inside while wiggling tires, too see excessive play. Lower ball joint can be seen during this test. And make sure wheel spins freely, siezed brake calipers can make higher speeds shake too. Lastly look at centre drive shaft condition. Hope this solves thr mystery. HTV Auto Body

When I take my suburban between 45-55 mph, I notice a vibration underneath in the drive line. I had all U-joints replaced. There are 95,000 miles on the vehicle. It feels like a broken motor mount.

Vibrations are hard to determine, if you believe its a broken motor mount try stepping on the brake in drive and give it gas at the same time. Have someone look at the engine to see if it has excessive movement. Its very possible that the driveshaft is warped, it can be re-ballanced. Also check the tail stock (back of the tranny) see if the shaft has excessive movement up and down in the tail stock.

If your engine is not misfiring but it vibrates too much while idling your motor mounts might be getting worn out. I had a Nissan with bad motor mounts. I was ok in park but when you put it in gear it vibrated a lot. It smoothed right out as soon as you started moving.

I have front end vibration that is not caused by alignment. New tires on all four wheels but still have alot of front end vibration. Car is a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon.

just checked this out a while ago:

Wheel Hub Assemblies: Systems and Diagnosis of Worn Hub Assemblies & Bearings
Front wheel hub assemblies and bearings control the position of, and reduce the resistance of, vehicle wheels in contact with the pavement. When they fail, front wheels may not be kept in position and vibration and noise usually develop. Symptoms that normally develop as a result of these worn parts include:
  • A humming, rumbling or growling noise which increases with acceleration or as the vehicles turns
  • Vibration felt in the steering wheel, which changes with vehicle speed or as the vehicle turns
  • Looseness or excessive play in the steering wheel (especially while driving over rough road surfaces)
  • A loud, constant grinding noise when driving the vehicle (heard in the most severe cases of a wheel bearing failure)
  • Pulling to one side when braking.
  • Roughness - with the vehicle of the ground, roughness or vibration when rotating the wheel
  • Looseness - with the vehicle off the ground, looseness when wiggling the wheel back and forth (Looseness may also indicate a worn ball joint)
  • Excessive brake pedal play can also indicate sloppy or excessively loose wheel bearings
  • ABS failure in the system may be related to failure of the ABS sensor in the hub assembly or the internal sensor in the wheel bearing
