the lock or mechanisim is stiff, get some wd40 and spray all around the lock and around the mechanism dont be shy with it.

If the problem persists then the motor for the central locking is about to go, this will need to be replaced as they rarely are fixable.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: fuel door on a 2011

Question is whether the cable/unlatch device is operating, or if the spring that pushes the fuel door open is out-of-position or broken. Have someone else operate the button while you have a fingernail or non-scratching inplement ready to gently pry the door open. If the door does not open, there may be a problem with the cable/unlatch device. If you can get the door to open by hand when the button is operated, you may have a broken or displaced sping, which will be apparent once the door is open. I fixed this issue on our '92 Sidekick by installing a small spring from an old flashlight, set up so as to push gently on the door near the hinge point, while wrapped around the original support bracket. Best luck!

What is causing clinking sounds when unlocking the doors with the remote? I also hear clicks when shutting the car off when the locks auto.

Next time notice the manual lock. If it is moving with the click noise, the lock actuator is going out.

Back door on the kia sorento 2011 passenger's side will not open, need help fast...??

Is it locked? The lock stuck in the locked position? Or is it something else. You might need to take off the door panel to disengage the lock. More info needed.

The door locks on my 2003 Kia Sorento will randomly cycle and lock, often (but not always) just after I've unlocked the car with the key fob. This can happen multiple times before it finally settles down....

The locks are set to a "transmitter" signal under the hood. This can be disturbed if another closely tuned signal is also attempting to come one. My Kia remote repeatedly died because of my child's back seat DVR. Have the Kia Dealership set the remotes to a different signal. That will solve it.

Buzzing in door every time door is opened. I just want to disconnect but no one can find the fuze .took it to kia for them to try will cost $300 to have repaired for now i just want to disconnect and stop...

I have an 04 Sorento and what I did was unscrew the switch in the door jamb (the one that is compressed when the door is shut) which is held on by one screw. Next disconnect the plug from the back of the switch. Voila. No more annoying buzzing when listening to the radio with the door open. Also, since the car thinks the door is shut, when you park and remove the key and forget to roll up the windows, you will have about 30 seconds to adjust / open / close any and all windows. That is, as long as no one else has opened their door. ***Caution: ALWAYS CARRY A SPARE KEY WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES SINCE IT IS EASY TO LOCK KEYS IN THE CAR. NORMALLY DOORS WILL NOT LOCK WITH KEYS IN THE IGNITION, BUT THEY WILL AFTER YOU MAKE THIS MODIFICATION. Definately worth it. Get a hide a key or hide extra key in the running board. Then you will only need a phillips screwdriver to get to it.

When it rains or when I wash my car, KIA Sorento - 2006 the door locks click locked and unlock constantly.

wash the doors one at a time (different days)so that you can tell which door is problematic, then spray silicon over the lock mechanism to hopefully cure the may have to take off the inner door panel to get to it..(i looked at one in the workshop and its got a small hole above the lock....)

Most likely its the door lock actuator, they use a plastic gear that is turned by a small motor, that gear is probably starting to strip out.
