Adjust the trim by loosening off the 13mm nut holding the anode above the prop, turn it the opposite direction and I reckon your problem may be solved.

Check your prop...probably slightly bent and only is noticeable at higher rpms.

Have a 2001 bayloner throphey how much fuel it holds

Are you sure you don't have a 2001 Bayliner Trophy? ;>)

7 gallons, but they come in sizes 17 feet to 31 feet and 125HP to 225HP.

2001 Bayliner Trophy Asking Price: $13,999 OR BEST OFFER Condition: Good. Description Location: Ridgewood, New York Seller's Notes: AWESOME BOAT!! Body Style: Power Boat Length: 21 Hull: FIBERGLASS Class: FISH/SKI BOAT Engine: 2010 Hyundai 150 # Engines: one Fuel Capacity: seven gallons Horsepower: 150 VIN: Request the VIN Seller's Comments Great boat, Lots of storage, 270 hours on motor, Well maintained, Reliable, Great for the lake, Depth/Fish/GPS System, Well equipped, Live well, Pump, Anchor, Seats four, Lots of cabin room, Equipped with toilet.

Easiest way is to run it dry with a 1 gallon portable can on board. Stay close to the marina until main tank runs out, top up with the gallon can, and then go to the marina and fill it up. Whatever it takes minus 1 gallon is the capacity. Then refill that gallon can and log how many miles you do on a full tank. I carry 2 x 6 gallon tanks, I know one tank will take my 95 kilometres (I am in Canada)

Red portable fuel marine tanks hold 6 gallons. The size is marked on it. If you have a fixed tank, they are usually 20 gallons, but to be sure use my method and a fill.

What is this and what kind of motor goes on it?

it looks to be a boat and from the poor quality photo it appears to gave a prop under it
in which case it will have an inboard n motor fitted with a drive shaft connected to the fly wheel or harmonic balancer end
from the view of the cut down transom it may take an out board as well
talk with a boat shop to get it right

How do I set timing?

I don't think mercury has changed their engines much in the past few decades with the exception of the newer high tech & 4-strokes. You can probably get the procedure from a shop manual that covers their 2-stroke 65hp from the 90's or later. The easy part is that with it being a 2-stroke there will only be 1 top dead center as opposed to a 4-stoke which appears to have 2 until you figure out if the rotor is pointed 180 degrees the wrong way. The only other thing you need to know is which cylinder is #1. Bring that cylinder all the way up. The markings will be on the fly wheel and the engine block. What's left... a few degree before or after. You should be able to get it going with some trial & error & maybe fine tune it by ear. I did this with a Mercruiser & found out I had it perfect 5 years later when I got the shop manual. Good luck.

sounds like perhaps the oil injection pump failed . last one of these we just added oil to the gas and continued using it .

Outboard motor mercury 30 hp 2 stroke.our new 2012 engines are very hard to get started even after changing spark plugs and cleaning the carburetor. problem started on both engines after 2 month of...

Check Warranty. Check with Dealer for TSB alerts. Could be fuellines or connectors. Not familiar with whether you have any type of fuelpump on these motors.

For sure you are putting more hours on your engines than a non- commercial user. Check for fuel filters.

My Mercury outboard 135 hp from 1986 jumps from 1000 rpm to 1400 rpm. It is not the spark plugs or ignition spoils (Have disconnected each once at time and there is no difference) The twoo boxes are...

my main suspect here in a case like this is the reed valve ,its sits behind the carb and all 2 stroke engines have one ,if you remove this and its clean and sealing up ok then check the stator under the flywheel ,In the end i gave up with the 2 stroke engine and bought a 4 stroke engine and the amount of fuel i have saved ?? Under the flywheel on the top of the engine is a advance /****** mechanism and this could be sticking or siezed up as well
