Have all keys with you inside the car and repeat again with the second key within 30 seconds...... "Press and hold the 'unlock' button while at the same time pressing the center 'lock' button three times. On the third time, release the 'lock' button at the same time you release the 'unlock' button." If you have a key with three buttons, ensure doors are unlocked. Put key in ignition and turn key over to 2d position where dash lights, etc come on. Pull key out. Press and hold the "unlock" button while at the same time pressing the center "lock" button three times. On the third time, release the "lock" button at the same time you release the "unlock" button

This works. Do all keys at the same time so they all have the same code. My second key deemed DEAD by the dealer. 2005 MiniCooper has no way to open. So I cut it open with a knife, tested the battery. 3.3V OK. put pressure on the battery copnnections and reprogrammed using the micro switches. It WORKED. Alleluia. Replaced the circuitboard in the fob with some foam behind the battery to keep the pressure on the connections. A bit of crazy glue and all is good.

Open the FOB and replace the battery. The two halves of the fob come apart and there is a battery that you can replace.

After changing battery in 2004 Mini Cooper key fob why will it no longer lock or unlock my doors

I had a similar problem with my 2004 key fob. I thought the battery was going bad, so I replaced it, and nothing was responding. I re-opened the key fob and discovered that the mechanics inside had actually come apart at one of the soldered joints. If this is the same problem you are having, you will need to have someone with the right tools fix the soldering or you will need to replace the key.

Where is the fuse box for mini cooper 2001

where is the fuse for the remote central locking in a mini one (2001) as I have changed the battery in the key fob and still not working. Can it be reset?. it has 2 button and not 3 on the key fob. Could the problem be a fuse that stops the actuator in the door from working?

Remote would not unlock car so unlocked car with key which set off alarm now car will not start. 2006 mini cooper s

Call around for a locksmith. The remote needs to be programed, then you can use that to de-activate the alarm. What does your key look like? Can you email, or post a picture of your remote and key?

Mini windows open on own my 2005 mini one windows and sunroof open on their own when parked. happened a few times now. don't think it's the fob. help!

Could it be that you are doing this? Mini has a feature where if you hold down the unlock button on the key for a few seconds the windows will drop...and a few more seconds the sunroof opens.
It happened to me a few times
