Question about Cars & Trucks
The car was in a fender bender. My son rear ended someone & ran over a street sign. The car drove away from the accident. About 5 miles then died in the parking lot. The problem seems to be electrical because there is no spark. I've replaced the ignition coil, checked cam sensor with a magnet & it shows a voltage change when I pass a magnet pass it. I pulled the cover off the timing belt where the cam sensors located and its whole. What else can I do to diagnose the problem?

Honestly? Cruddy parts.
I have a Dodge Stratus....97....same thing here. Unfortunately, shoddy parts, even from the dealership. I think the best thing is to keep a fresh one on hand. I know that the wiring is garbage too due to how the harness curls up to the sensor. Not much to tell you on this one.

Are there any other possible problems, or you are just not receiving spark at all now?
The coilpack could be dead and just need replaced. If you have a voltmeter or a test light, check the wiring on both sides of the coilpack harness to make sure it is receiving power.
I don't believe Subaru used ignitors past '99, but if they did, your should be located on the firewall behind the throttle body. Make sure it's plugged in and receiving power.
Coil packs do go bad from time to time. I had to replace mine in my
'98 Impreza a while back.
