Question about 2006 Ford Focus
I have a 2006 ford focus zetec connection. It's a 1.4l engine with a saloon body. Every couple of days when i go to start my car the battery is flat. Sometimes i can't even open the doors cos there is absolutely no power in the car. I got a new battery to try and solve the problem but the same thing is still happening. I used to be able to jump start it but now it takes ages to get going. The bloke out of the garage said that the battery is fine and the alternator is perfect and that it's just an annoying problem where something is draining the battery and it'll be hard to discover as it's an intermittent problem. Anyone any help on this? Thanks in advance. Sue
Connect a testlight between the negative battery cable and the negative battery post make sure all doors are closed everything off... if you have a drain the lamp in the handle will light then: just pull fuses/remove relays, unscrew bulbs until the light goes out
P.S. your owner's manual or, a schematic will find the items on the problem circuit... light bulbs do not need to be lit to be draining your battery
