Question about Honda CR-V
Sometimes on colder morning car does not start.Had put new battery 3 mo. ago and also tried to jump but engine does not turn over.One time had to sat car for few days then tried to start. It took several try to turn over engine. when started,it smoked noticeably with strong fuel smell. how can I fix this problem ?
I had this problem, and put in a new "fuel pressure sensor" on the fuel rail. Be blessed.

Possible flooding, cold weather can freez open injectors causing them to leak into the cylinders. Press the gass pedal all the way to the floor and crank the engine for no more than 60 seconds. The cylinders will clear themselves allowing proper mix of air/fuel and should start easy. If that does not solve please specify if the engine is 1.8l or 2.8l.

Look for a lose connection at the crank shaft sensor. This is a signal needed for obtaining tachometer as well as turning on the fuel pump.
