open the driver's side door and look on the side of the dash. If it's not there, check the passenger's side on the center console. If not there, check under the hood.

SOURCE: back hatch door closed on strap of backpack-now can't open door

Something similar happened to us. A handle strap from an empty fabric grocery bag got caught in the latch system of the rear hatchback on our toyota highlander when we inadvertently shut the door on it. We could not pull the strap free and we could not get the rear door to open or close. In the end we were able to cut the strap out (from the inside) with a pocket knife and then pull the pieces free of the latch.

SOURCE: I just recently purchased a 2010 Toyota Highlander

Both toyota prius accelerator cases that I know of have been reported as flukes. the accellaration procces for the fuel and the hybrid models are completely different. plus the sticky pedal finding is a buy product from intense study from camry and the lexus version of camrys unattended excellaration probem, the sticky pedal will just not let of gas properly and also to be extremely rare not accelerating. Plus the hybrid versions are made in japan and if the did have the same pedal as a gas it would be made by denso the japanese pedal manufacturer, that has a heavier pedal it even has two more bolts compared to the american manufactured pedal that has been recalled. I personally build the highlander fuel version in Indiana It is an excellent vehicle i aswell own a 2010 that me an my family love youve got a great vehicle dont let abusers of a problem scare you of it.

Where do I add washer fluid for the rear washer on a 2002 highlander

This is just a suggestion. Check inside the back hatch door. On either side there are little doors (hatches) close to the floor. I'm guessing on the right side might be the spot. But where ever you look there should be a picture of a windshield wiper on it. On another car yesterday I saw a filler spot behind the front grill ahead of the radiator.

Rear hatch wont open with remote or close by pushing the button on the hatch. does anyone know how to fix this?

In my vehicle there is a botton in the glovebox that gets accidently switched off. there is a child safety button to prevent automatic door closing...highlander may have this switch as well.

Try pressing down on the trunk /hatch and at the same time turn the key to try and open it. It might take a lot of downware pressure to finally get it to come open.
