I am assuming the tractor is a diesel unit. There will be what they call a banjo bolt coming off the injector pump. Fuel passes through this piece. Some of them have a little plastic screen inside them that gets clogged up with debris. Remove the banjo bolt and remove the screen and blow it out with compressed air. Then use you lift pump to manually prime the system before starting. Good luck.

What type of oil & oil filter needed for my 99 jd 4200?

Any name brand of diesel oil is good. The 4200 is a small tractor usually used on an acreage. Never is worked hard, just mow, till and other small jobs. A 5w-40 is a good choice. As far as filters, stay away from the real cheap Wal-Mart ones. Bosch, fram tuff guard, k&ns are ok if you can find a cross reference for them to fit your tractor. Otherwise go to auto zone, O'reillys, etc. and get a good quality like Wix or some others. The tractor isn't like a vehicle. Probably changing oil if you are like me at 100 hrs. it's going to be only once a year. Small investment in oil and filter for the price of a tractor. Most diesel oils come in gallons also to save you money.

If my trubo diesel 6.5 chevy if the timeing is off it wont stay runing if i fix the timeing well that make it idelthat was 1 of the code that came up its geting fuel u give it gas it well run u let of

Yes timing is everything with motors if the cylinder isn't firing at the right time all u are doing is filling the cylinder with raw fuel and dumping it into exhaust un burned it can eventually ruin you're catalytic converters also, get it professionally timed you're truck will run like a champ, unles u already caused damage.

Landrover tdi 110 fuel pressure non start

When you run a diesel engine out of fuel ,it needs to be primed in most cases, see if you can locate the fuel filter and and fill it with diesel fuel,And depending on the yr and make, your engine could be demanding higher pressure then you would think is normal from your lift pump in the tank.

2004 Ford F250 6.0 Diesel will not start after replacing EGR Cooler, Oil Cooler and Oil Sending Unit.

You didn't bleed the oil properly. The injectors are oil pressure operated.

About 5 weeks ago after filling with diesel fuel the truck would not start. After about 15 minutes it finally started. It continued to run perfectly for the next 5 weeks until 2 days ago when it dropped...

Did you empty diesel out and just refill if so then you made a mistake which could have damaged fuel pumps

Diesels are suppose to be bled after refilling if have been run totally dry.

The engine is spluttering and it seems the more i put fy foot harder on the gas pedal it seems to die over that if i just let it idle. I thought it was a alternator but the lights are on etc. It feels like...

I know this sounds silly but check the air filter for blockage/dirt. If a engine runs fine at idle then wants to 'bog' down at anything above idle it possibly could not be getting enough air.
