SOURCE: Heater\AC no air in front 05 suburban

ase mechanic:

Sounds like a problem with the front blower motor. there is a blower motor resistor for the front blower motor that controls the speed of the blower and tends to go bad or fry out the blower motor. thats the most likely scenerio since you stated the control head was lighting up and responded to button changes.

SOURCE: the rear a/c on my 1996 gmc suburban is blowing

the problem is in the rear expansion valve. this valve is located at the rear evaporator core. i am assuming the freon level has been checked and is ok. this is a common problem with these vehicles. hope this helps!!

Is the blower running? Is coolant hot in the heater core when you set controls to hot? Do you have a picture of which setup you have?

Can you hear the front ac/heater fan? They use the same AC compressor so that should be okay. The fan switches fail quite often on those. That controls how much air is pushed by the fan for AC, heat and defrost. The switch is attached to the fan knob on the dash.
