SOURCE: start truck up and a/t

I'm having the same problem. I have a 1992 Rodeo V-6 4x4. I replaced the alternator, battery, and even took out a killer stereo system in case of shorts (didn't have the patience to check). Except mine does start with a little boost. I'm thinking of replacing the battery for a bigger one, but not sure if that will take care of the problem. Help anyone?

SOURCE: Have a 2001 2.3 V6 Isuzu Rodeo in which the transmission keep burning up after having it rebuilt. Can't seem to find the problem after changing cooler, and all sensors.

It sounds like your Isuzu is running with high rpm's when you start it and drive it.

SOURCE: 1995-96 Isuzu Rodeo transmission swapable?

Man, I went through the same ordeal! My 94 Rodeo tranny went out, and the wrecking yard guy assured me that the 96 would interchange, but 10 hours later, I gave up on it!

WHAT IS THE FIRING ORDER FOR 96 RODEO?

For the 3.2L DOHC V6, it is 1,2,3,4,5,6. with the cylinders being numbered from front to back and left to right 1,3,5,right and 2,4,6 left. The left and right side of the vehicle is determined from you setting in the drivers seat For the 2.6L 4cyl it is 1,3,4,2 starting with the right front wire and going in counter clockwise direction, and the cylinders are numbered from front to back 4,3,2,1. Hope this helps.

When I start driving, the engine revs high and barely goes anywhere. it goes slowly up till 25mph and then is fine. It just started today

I believe '02 rodeo's have buttons for power mode and winter mode located between the shifter and the flip up console. You may have accidentally activated winter mode which cuts power to the drive wheels for driving in ice and snow.If so look on the instrument cluster and "winter mode" will be lit in green, simply push the button again to deactivate it while in PARK.Hope this helps ,good luck.

Are there any other alternators compatible with a 94 Isuzu Rodeo such as an Isuzu Trooper or another make/model? If so up to what year?

On a v6 it must be off of a rodeo v6 only from 11-92 thru 11-95. If you get an aftermarket alt. get a beck arnley brand , others do not work. Try to get your rebuilt at a place that rebuilds alts. and starters locally.
