DTC P0601, internal controller fault. Replace the PCM. As the name of the fault implies , this is an internal pcm fault . There are no other known causes of this fault other than a defective pcm.

Haven.t fixed it yet, but there is a bad wire or loose connection in a group of wires located behind the fuse panel. In the group of wires one of them is apparently the problem. When I move the wires the blower motor and power windows work, but they eventually stop again. I haven't had time to find and fix the exact wire that's the problem yet, it's not an area that I can easily get to!

The alternator will have power still coming through but it's the voltage regulator inside the alternator that could be bad. This is pretty much what charges and keeps the battery at charge.
