These have a ground fault interupt built in for safety and to prevent electrical overloads.. it may need replaced due to not being heavy enogh to run it..there should be a minimum amp rating somewhere..like a base rate of 50 amps or so..look at the rating and see what the power outlet has on it.. may not be strong enough..or the ground is bad..

Turn igniton to on position and put odometer in trip mode, turn off ignition.
Hold trip button in and hold it in as you turn ignition to on position, it will flash
Turn off ignition.
Maintenance light should go and stay off
