Hello, the best advice I can give for this is to mark your old vacuum lines off the careburator and match them with your new one. A good Chiltons or Haynes Auto Manual can help you in this endeavor as well. Being a mechanic doing upgrades to your vehicle does not always have the manual for the conversion in which you are doing so some good ole guess and tell may be the route to take. Just remember that you need vaccum to take and take out air into the careburator and this is a good start from any careburator upgrade. I have rebuilt and installed probaly 50 careburators and a manual for converting one careburator from one vehicle or motor can take longer than some just good time with your motor figuring out what needs to get done. Thank You

Have fuel going out of vent tube on my two barrel Holley carb

Maybe the float is stuck or needs adjustment? Maybe a carb kit?
Holley has their own web site, at the bottom of page there is technical resources--library. I just briefly took a look, holley.com

How do you set the idle

There are all kinds of adjustments on that vehicle. Also, it depends on which carburetor it is equipped with. That vehicle came with a Rochester 2-barrel carb, a Rochester Quadrajet carb, or a Holley 4- barrel carb. There is not enough time or space to post all of the information about this here. I would recommend going to alldatadiy.com and subscribing to the service information for your vehicle for a small annual fee, or purchacing a manual like Chilton or Haynes.

according to the site, a <350cfm holley carb should fit right on the motor and give you no problems, this will provide some reliability and tunability as well as aftermarket support for your application compared to factory, they should be very easy carbs to find used on ebay and such

Should I rebuild my Ford Bronco 351 Windsor Holly 4 bbl carb or replace it with an Edelbrock carb?

In all my experience, if you know how to correctly tune a edelbrock then go with that, but, holley has outstanding carbs that can muster up to an output of 1,200hp. it would be much cheaper to et a rebuild kit from say, o'reillys, 20-45 dollars depending on which one you have.
I have a 1985 Bronco 351w 4x4, i just rebuilt my holley and she runs smooth

I need to adjust a carberater and get the 4 barrel to start working

Most likely you have a Holley carb. You may have a 460 engine. If you have the carb with a big vacuum pot in front of the carb, then you have a RPM governor. The RPM governor will work against the 4 barrel.

The main mixture for the idle jets can be adjusted like any old style carb. You may have plastic caps over the idle screws but take them off. Then use a vacuum gauge on any intake fitting and proceed to read the vacuum level as you turn the mixture screws. You want the mixture to reach a maximum RPM, then evenly turn the screw in until the RPM drops slighty and then balance for smoothest idle.

After this step adjust curb idle and see if this helps when the 4 barrel kicks in. Holley has different springs for the vacuum actuated secondaries and they are color coded. If the carb is original it should be right, but if the carb is of unknown origin you can check the proper vacuum spring, main jet, power valve and so on in a good Holley book. The mechanical secondaries are also listed with clearances to hand adjust.

By adjusting the mixture screws you have set the engine to idle just below peak vacuum pressure. This means you should have more vacuum to work the secondaries.

How to adjust fuel mixture 2 barrel carburater for

In the late 70's they mandated that the adjustment screws be capped over. If they haven't been exposed, there will be two plugs covering them on the baseplate. Air adjustment screws are always somewhere on the base of all carbs with the only exception being on Holley 4bbl carbs used on performance engines (definitely not yours)

How to put on a Holley carburetor on my 1984 camaro? I am taking off an electrical one and replacing it with a single pumper holley. Is their any thing else i will have to purchase?

What do you mean "electrical one?" If you are taking off a Quadrajet, and putting the Holley on, NO it will not fit, You will need to replace the intake manifold.

1967 ford mustang 289, 4bbl engine has been rebuilt/ w performance camshaft. will not idle correctly . carb has been changed , ignition has been updated , wires cap points and rotor ? checked for vacuum...

hesitating when from a standing start, then running well can be caused by having too big a jet size. I dropped the size of the jets on my Holley 4V, and it solved that part of the problem. The accelerator pump will push in too much gas, momentarily "drowning"the engine til you get enuff air to mix with the gas.
