Removing the middle console in a 95 Chevy Corsica

I need to remove the plastic middle console to get to the emergency brake itself. What is the best method in doing this? Thanks.

Look for the screws at the base of the console.. you may need the key in the ignition to move the shifter so the cover can be moved.. the seats may need either forard or back to acess these screws..

My emergency brake cable broke on my 95/96 chevy s-10. we are trying to figure out how to release the emergency brake so that i can drive the car home.

I'm confused if cable is broken how are brakes locked? The cable should go to the rear wheels. At one point somewhere under the car you should be able to find cable and release it around the middle of truck. The cable should pass some kind of pre-tensioner. Hope this helps.

How do you take off the console to fix emergency brake 93 corsica

I'm assuming you mean the gauge cluster? There are I believe between 2 & 4 screws near the bottom edges of it. You take them out and the cluster should come right out. I've messed around a lot with that same car.

Emergency brake is not working

if you have a hand break you can often take off the covering and tighten a bolt there which pulls the slack out of your brake cable. with a foot brake you have to go under the car and tighten it from there, sometimes in the middle of the line sometimes near the break itself.

Should be screws hidden under plugs that are the same color as the plastic. Try to remove cup holder etc there should be little pop outs. I will check on one of the kias in the lot. send me a response so I can put you at the top of the list.
