Question about 2007 Jeep Commander Rocky Mountain

Need the scoop on a 2007 Jeep Commander

We just purchased a new 2007 Jeep Commander (new, 2 years old on dealer lot w/ 50 miles). My question is: in your experience, what do I need to be aware of or on the look out for? I don't know Jeeps very well, having owned Suburbans and Tahoes for years and with the impending closing of hundreds of dealers, I may have to get some use out of my warranty before they close my local dealer.

Any comments are welcome! Thanks! Ric

"hard" parts seem to be pretty good on most of them...If you read the posted problems though there are a bunch of electrical/computer based issues that in my opinion have stemmed from over-engineering and typical cost-cutting measures that affect quality. You cannot really "maintain" your way out of those, but hopefully you will have a good one...remember, no one posts here because they have no problem...there are thousands out there that run just fine!
Good luck with your eep!!! (I have three!)

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

2006 jeep commander makes a clicking noise when I turn ignition, all lights and radio come on but car won't turnover, what is it?

I have had this issue 2 times, both times it was the battery having damaged/dead cells. You can sometimes get it to start by putting your foot on the break, turning the key to the on position, putting the car in neutral then starting it. I purchased my Commander new in 2006 and have had to replace the battery 2 times since, both times this was the initial symptom. I have 120K miles and still love my Commander

Jeep commander, it hesitates and all the dashboard lights ding while driving at 50 miles an hour. Jeep dealer can't locate problem.

not sure here as this vehicle i havent worked on yet ,the older ones yes but i would say that the computer has packed up or its on its way out ,expensive job if it is i would advise trading it in and let the dealer sort the expensive problem out .Just dont tell them whats wrong with it though

most likely the oxygen sensors (lambada) ,they need changing ,their are two one before the cat and one after,do not think you need a new cat unless it has a min of 150.000 miles on the clock

Transmission over temp signal vehicle won't

First I was told it was a battery... replaced it Then two months later I was told it was a starter.... replaced Another two months later I was told it was the ignition switch... replaced it yesterday...
Just walked out of a restaurant 24 hours later and the car does not want to start. The dealership seems to be inept at figuring it out, and Jeep helpline doesn't offer any help at all.

Recommended Service

yes, this service is recommend but not required. carbon and other particales build up in your fuel system from old gas, dirty gas, etc. if your using premium gas this should not have to be done but every 75k miles. if your using reg gas. maybe every 30k to 50k. it's just a gas saving thing, good to do but can wait. the price is high. where i used to manage (american lubefast) we did the same service for 89.99 for both. so check around at other shop's. :-)

No, the stuff installed from the factory sometimes is junk. a good aftermarket set of rotors will prolong the life of them.
