Pads may be acting as phonograph needles and "playing back" the cut pattern on the rotors. To eliminate this tendency most dealerships now use a DA sander on the rotor faces while the rotors are still turning on the lathe, to break the pattern, making it non directional. (I've been doing this on all vehicles since the 70's)
If this was not done, they will make noise. Sometimes sound deadening inserts can be placed behind pads or a liquid made for this purpose can be applied to backings. But, the first method is generally the best. Other than that, if the pads are not binding or wearing prematurely, there should be no noise.

My brakes are squeaking

Remove brake pads..front. Deglaze discs and pads and use created on the back of the pads.
Discs must be grease free.
When installed and sensor fitted, ensure sliders are free before pumping brake pedal a few times.
Road test and remember to bedcin brakes again for 500 miles

Break pedal squeaking

is the squeak inside the car? if so, then yes it's probably the pedal or linkage. If it's outside the car, then either the brakes were done poorly or the pads are defective. Assuming you had the front and rear brakes done. Could be the other brakes if only 1 axle was serviced.

Left front brakes stuckes

caliper may be sticking this will require over haul (new seals maybe pistons) do both calipers as a pair or you may find brakes will drag to the right if you only do left side I've found this out the hard way

I have a 2003 4runner with 102400 miles. It has started to have a squeak somewhere. Sounds like it is on the drivers side. I changed the front brakes and rotors about 10000 miles ago. How does a person...

The rear brakes last a long time since 80% of braking is on the front wheels. This helps keep the car in a straight line in hard braking where the front wheel lock up. The rear wheels keep rolling to keep the car in a straight line much like a fin on a rocket keep its path straight through the air. If you have never changed the rear brakes then it is time to check it. The squeak is caused by a device mounted is such a way so that it touches the brake disk when the pad wears to a certain point. Letting you know it is time for a new pad.

FRONT WHEEL SQUEAKS IN COLD WEATHER BUT SQUEAK DISAPPEARS WHEN CAR HAS BEEN DRIVING FOR 10 MINS. JUST HAD NEW BRAKES 8 MONTH AGO?

OK, this unfortunately is a comon problem and one that I try to remedy when I put new brakes onto my customers cars.........you see the edges of the brake pads are sahrp, and they are "designed" to crumble away as the pad wears, but if you purchase hard-compound brakes, which last longer I might add, this material doesnt break away and you get squeaking.......

What needs to be done is "chamfering" of the pads...which means they need to be removed and the edges are sanded/grinded away so the sharp 90 degree angles are 45 degree angles...this is the best solution that I have found.....

Rear Brakes

Brakes can vary in the amount of time that they last. For starters there are many diffrent grades of pads, the cheap pads last me about a month, but the good expensive pads last me 6-8months or so, and I drive really hard. So depending on how drive can determine how long they last. Usually you can replace your rear pads once for every two or three sets of front pads you replace as most of the braking work is done from the front. Pads are made intentionally to squeak when they are running down, so when you hear that squeak get em replaced, but if the rear's aren't squeaking just change the front and do the rears next time.

Good Luck
Hope this help
