My wiper fuse keeps burning out

If your wiper fuse keeps burning out, your wiper motor might be failing which causes too much amperes required to turn the motor which in turn trips the maximum rated amperes of the fuse.

Follow the wiring of that fuse to your wiper motor to make sure the wiring is not nicked and grounding to the metal. Once you confirm that there is no shorted wire, disconnect the wiper motors wiring connector. Fuse a new fuse and if the fuse does not blow anymore then you isolated the problem which is the wiper motor causing the fuse to blow. Fix or replace the wiper motor.

When diagnosing blown fuses, I usually temporarily replace any fuse in a vehicle with a circuit breaker type fuse. If there is still a short somewhere in the wiring or the component itself in line with the fuse, the circuit breaker fuse will just trip and I just reset it again after I fix the problem. An advantage of keeping to replace a blown fuse while diagnosing.

It will cost a couples of hundred euro.

Fuse for cruise control out where do i put the fuse and what size

If you have identified that the fuse for cruise control usually it is under the dashboard panel in front of the driver. Size or ampere rating capacity is shown on the fuse itself.

1998 Ford Sindstar PCM fuse keeps blowing

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

One thing that can cause this to blow is if the fuse is inappropriate. Please check if it has the right ampere. If the ampere is right then there's definitely a grounded wire. I suggest that you check the wiring harness and look if there are burnt wires.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Whare is window fuses for 1980 xj6 jag

May have to use a f'use tester to quickly test all of the fuses in the fuse box.
---
To remove a fuse:
  • With glass cartridge or blade-type fuses, a special fuse removing tool can be used to remove a bad fuse.
  • Blade-type fuses are easy to remove by hand or with a needle nose pliers.
To replace a fuse:
  • Be sure to replace a fuse with the correct one for the application.
  • SFE (Society of Fuse Engineers) and all-glass cartridge (sometimes called "Bussman" or "Buss") fuses will interchange with one another, so care is required.
  • Be sure that the fuse is the correct rating. Too low an amp rating will result in burned fuses. Too high a rating can cause a fire.
  • Check the end of the fuse for its amp rating. The correct amp rating of the fuse to be used is listed on the fuse block.
  • Fuses are generally numbered, and the main components abbreviated.
f14-36.jpg Typical fuse box or panel.
  • On late-model cars, there may be icons or symbols indicating which circuits they serve. This identification system is covered in more detail in the owner's and service manuals.
NOTE To calculate the correct fuse rating, use Watt's law: watts ÷ volts = amperes. For example, if you are installing a pair of 55-watt fog lights, divide 55 by the battery voltage (12 volts) to find out how much current the circuit has to carry. Since 55 ÷ 12 = 4.58, the current is approximately 5 amperes. To allow for current surges, the correct in-line fuse should be rated slightly higher than the normal current flow. In this case, an 8- or 10-ampere fuse would do the job.NOTE It's advisable to carry an assortment of spare fuses in the glove compartment. It is difficult to know when one will blow. Also, you should learn borrow a fuse from a less critical circuit. For example, it is possible to do without power for the radio or air conditioner, if a fuse is needed for the headlights or brake lights. Make certain, however, that the fuse borrowed and later replaced has the same current rating. Remember that a blown fuse was caused by something going wrong. Replacing the fuse may or may not give a temporary solution to the problem.

Why does the fuse blow everytime i turn on my heat or air conditioner.

Fuse will blow only if excess current flows through it than its capacity, Get the a/c wiring, fan checked for any short circuits, or may be the replaced fuse is a low ampere fuse.

What kind of fuse do i use for the radio on my 1988 camaro?

Hi,

Most car stereos/headunits uses a glass type fuse. the ampere rating would depend on the power of the stereo. Most would do with a 5~7 ampere fuses but several high end/ high power would require 10 or more.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
