I have a front lower cluch pully tha is sticking and turning red hot what does it operate

I have a 1995 f350 with a 7.3 diesel with an automatic transmission that will stop shifting from 2nd to 3rd after it runs for about 25 to 30 miles or so stop shifting


3 possible senerios
Check the the fluid level is on the hot oil mark (in drive) on the dipstick. Too much oil will aeriate and overheat and lower operating pressure in the tranny causing band and clutch package slippage causing more problems adjust to correct mark
2-- have a pressure test done on the tranny for low operating prerssures from failing pumps and blocked filters.
3-- check oil lines to tranny cooler are not bent kinked or blocked
Check the oil colour It should be a bright cherry red but if it is dirty black or brownish it indicates the oil is burning and the tranny should be looked at.

WeMy power steering fluid was leaking I tool it to the shop they told me It was the pump so I brought a new pump and got It put in and now I still cant turn my steering wheel

TO BLEED POWER STEERING SYSTEM.TO DO THIS.FILL THE POWER STEERING RESERVOIR TO COLD FULL MARK ON DIP STICK.WAIT A FEW MINITES,FLUID LEVEL DROP ADD MORE FLUID UNTIL REACH COLD MARK ON THE DIP STICK..WAIT FEW MINUTES.START ENGINE LET IT RUN FOR 2 OR 3 SECONDS.TURN OFF ENGINE CHECK POWER STEERING FLUID ADD MORE FLUID.DO THIS UNTIL FLUID LEVEL STOP DROPPING.WHEN FLUID LEVEL STOP DROPPING.SAFELY RAISE FRONT OF THE VECHICLE UNTIL FRONT WHEELS DONT TOUCH THE GROUND.START ENGINE UP.TURN THE STEERING WHEEL GENTLY FROM STOP TO STOP,CHECK THE RESERVOIR FLUID LEVEL LOOKS GOOD TURN OFF ENGINE LOWER VECHICLE .LOWER VECHICLE TO GROUND. Lower cranckshaft pully is not turning


From the little information given it sounds like the pully bearing is locked up. Replace it. I'm not sure if you can get just the bearing or if you have to purchase as a unit. Remove it and take it to your auto supply, they can tell you.

Need the belt diagram for the water pump belt for a 95 Auroa


42161874BELT, REPLACE
  1. Release belt tension and remove belt from power steering and alternator pulleys. Twist belt to get between tensioner and front cover and between power steering pulley and engine mount bracket.
  2. Raise and support vehicle.
  3. Turn wheel to the extreme right and remove right side splash shield.
  4. Remove belt from crankshaft and A/C compressor pulleys. Twist belt to get between idler pulley and engine mount bracket.
  5. Lower vehicle.
  6. Twisting new belt to get past the front cover, install belt around power steering pump pulley, Fig. 15. Allow belt to hang free.
  7. Twist belt to get between tensioner and front cover, wrap belt around alternator.
  8. Remove belt from power steering pulley and set aside.
  9. Raise and support vehicle, then twist belt to get between tensioner and front cover, wrap belt around crankshaft and A/C compressor pulleys.
  10. Install right side splash shield and lower vehicle.
  11. Position belt around power steering pulley and release tensioner.

The belt that runs the water pump on 1995 Auora


Looks like the belt got hot??? You mean there are shreds of belt material all over the place? If so you have a locked pully somepalce. Replacing the belt is easy, find the diagram of the belt system under your hood. Find the pully that is the tensionor pully. Fine the correct wrench, remove tension, slip of belt from one pulley. remove belt completely, then, since you have shredded belt material, spin each pulley and see which one isn't turning easily. All the pullies will spin easily execpt for the crank. If you have one that's not, well, that one is shot. Needs to be replaced. And if may not just be the pully, might be the accesory which the pulley sits on. Example, water pump, altenator, etc....

when looking at the motor from the front of the car. the pullies are off to the passanger side. the side in front of you from the pullies to tranni are 1, 3, and 5. On the firewall side, it's 2, 4, and 6. On that year of car, the distrubitor should be labeled.
