I would take a small punch and hit the pin from the bottom up and this should remove the pin out.

No way to tell without looking at it and taking measurements.
It may be cheaper to replace the doors than to spend the time on repairs.

2006 Chevy Uplander. The power sliding doors won't shut

2 possible solutions. First clean the door pin contacts(multiple spring loaded pins on door side and matching plate on body) with a scotch pad until shiny gold color again. Second the rear edge of the door should be 1mm inside the body opening when closed. If those are correct it is going to take a software download from a dealer to the door control module to fix this. Otherwise you will have to pull the psd fuse and breaker from the right side dash fuse box.

My son broke the power window lock in my 89 toyota landcruiser, I can no longer roll down any windows besides the driver's side. I need to know the best way to take apart the passenger door so I can pull...

I have a 1989 Landcruiser but without power windows so I will tell you what I know about mine.

First remove the arm rest. you will need a large phillips head screw driver for this. Then remove the plastic trim around the door handle. This is only one regular sized phillips screw. Carefull not to do this one up too tight when you put it back on or it will crack.

The door trim is held on by about 10 plastic plugs around the edge that just pop out. Put a large flat blade screw driver behind the trim up close to where each pin and with a little twiste is should pop off. The wood isn't that strong (masonite) so you need to be gentle.

I don't know how the window switch or the door lock works as mine are mechanical but I imagine there would be some spare cable so you can partialy remove the trim and get your arm in to remove the cables.

Once the trim is off the car you should be able to see how to remove the switch.

You will probably have to get a new switch from toyota or a wreckers.

Good luck :)

Car door problems

Check the hinges force the door open and check the hinge and hinge pins. If those are bent then they will need to be replace. Also besides banging out the door there is not a lot that you can do but take it to a body shop. So I would do the hinge thing first ALOT cheaper

I have a 1991 Plymouth Voyager. The drivers door is out of alignment and has caused the locking mechanism to become bent and now it it broken all together so the door will not stay shut. Where can I get...

Ok what you will need for the door alignment problem is a "door pin" this is a pin that goes in between the door hinges much like a door pin that would be in your home. That will solve the alignment problem. Either new door pins or adjusting the pins with a pair of pliers. As far as the locking assembly you will have to take the inside panel off the door and find your way around the inside and try to see how to disconnect the unit. No offense at all but it sounds like you may not be to savvy to do this because the locking mechanism is a difficult part because of the moving parts and such. I would suggest going to ebay looking for the parts and bringing them to a shop to fix it. its cheaper if you bring the parts. If you are up to it. Purchase yourself a Haynes or similar manuel for 20 bucks and it will contain pictures and diagrams of everything you need to do. Good luck and take your time fixing it.

you will have to take the panel off to see why the inner lock/activator isnt working properly, besides youll have to take it off to fix it anyway.Maybe as simple as a bent handle to lock rod being bent and no longer long enough to activate lock correctly.youll just have to look and see.Let me know what you find

2004 frontier doors won't open

You might need new pins and bushings for the door, which cost under 15.00 if it is starting to stick. If the door will not open at all, check your inside door handle. Is there any tension when you pull on it? or does it pull really easy? If it pulls really easy, you will need to take the door panel off and see if the door rods are still in place. Sometimes they can come loose and need to be put back in. Or they could be broken. Either way, these are easy fixes, just take to the nearest auto body shop or mechanic shop to do so.
