Have charging system checked, possible alternator failure. Low system voltage will cause the symptoms you described.

start at the head lights. they are hot all the time.
if the head lights fail , fix that first. (easier).
not sure what crazy means.

Very possible you may have a faulty voltage regulator. I would have it tested which many places do for free.

Guages when crazy. Now won't even try to start.

You likely have it repaired by now but it sounds like a classic case of oxidized battery or cable connection (sometimes mis-diagnosed as bad battery but cured with new (clean) battery)

The warning lights started going on and off, all the gauges started going crazy. Then engine lost power and died. Towed it, put it on the charger and it started but would not stay running. One person said...

Most likely the alternator........ map sensor failure would bring up a check engine light and code not the crazy gauges and lights
hope this helps...Good Luck!
