SOURCE: 97 dodge dakoata main fuse keeps blowing 140 amp fuse

Regulator in alternator obviously faulty, have it bench tested & fixed or replace alternator, and cure your problem.

Instructions on changing the 100 amp battery fuse on my '01 Nissan X-Terra

These bigger fuses are sometimes bolted in. If you are looking at the fuse box under the hood, look on either side of the box. You should see little bolts to remove that will let the 100 amp come out. Oh yeah, disconnect the battery first!!!...Chris

Why is the brake light and the battery light on the dash

When this happens, there is no charging system voltage (from the alternator). Several possible causes

1. Alternator's regulator has stopped working
2. Alternator fuse (100 to 120 amp) is blown (at battery post or inside Fuse/Relay box under the hood)
3. Wiring between alternator & battery &/or fuse/relay box.

My alarm went off after I jumped my car

The below Installation Caution(s) & Warning(s) was taken from my CS-2000 Series III CrimeStopper Alarm System manual:

" WE RECOMMEND that the MAIN SYSTEM FUSE be REMOVED before jump starting, using a battery charger, or changing the battery. A voltage surge or high boost condition could damage alarm circuits."

There you go. You will probably need a new Alarm System. If possible, get the same model so that it will save you time to install, just swap the two main alarm modules.

I arced a wire while changing my alternator on my 06 Camry, now i have no power whatsoever- what fuse or relay is the culprit

Look in the fusebox under the hood, at all of the larger 30 amp and up fuses. You probably have a blown 100 amp fuse. If it is blown, note that this fuse is BOLTED in; you cannot remove it without removing the bolts.

My radio, clock and CD player suddenly quit

Well I just found my solution.... I was a little too quick the first time.
There are 3 fuse boxes for the 2004 Pilot. One on the drivers side, one under the hood, and one on the passenger side. My 15 Amp fuse on the passenger side (fuse #9) was blown thus causing the front AC outlets and the radio/clock/CD player to be completely dead. I pulled the 15 Amp spare from the fuse box under the hood, and replaced the blown fuse in the passenger side fuse box. The radio came on like a champ and I didn't even need to reset the radio code. I figure I just saved at least $100 vs. taking it to a dealer. :)
