If you don,t know please ask a friendly mechanical type person to show , because you must put the right amount in. If you are losing brake fluid then you have a leak somewhere. Most lekly at the rear brake cylinder.

The brakelights show on the dashboard of my 2002 hyundai accent...what does it mean?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
If your seeing the brake symbol it is usually telling you that the break fluid in the reservoir is low. Check the break fluid level. If it is low fill it with DOT3 or DOT4 Brake Fluid to the high mark. Do not over fill it. Only up to the high / full level. If you do NOT service the reservoir soon you will start introducing air into your brake system and will have to bleed the entire system. You can purchase brake fluid at any automotive parts supply and most of the full gas stations.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

The special vaccum they are talking about virtually sucks the new brake fluid through as it is forcing the old fluid out hence not allowing air into the lines. If air gets into the brake fluid lines this is when you can get brake failure.

Where do you put the brake fluid

In the brake master cylinder, which is attatched to the brake booster located on the firewall, drivers side, under the hood. There is a plastic container mounted on top with either 1 or 2 screw caps, just unscrew them and put in the fluid. There is at least 4 brake lines attatched to the master cylinder, can't miss it.

Right front brake caliper freezes up on occassion

You either need to rebuild it correctly, or replace it - which is the most common thing to do. Since you probably have crud in it, you may have the other side crud up as well, so the best thing to do would be to change both. -or redo both brakes on the front end. Hope this helps, Rick
