SOURCE: low fuel pressure

U 1st need to test fuel pressure at the fuel pressure test port on the top of the engione in the fuel supply rail to the injector tops, it looks like a metal tire vale stem, u will need to buy a special fuel pressure tester to do this test. U should have around 55-60 PSI at idle, it should go up when u gun the engine but never go down, if it goes down the fuel filter or pump are suspect.

SOURCE: Low Fuel Pressure on Landrover Freelander TD4

From 53 reg onwards, diesel pump is under R.H. rear wheel arch, hidden by the plastic wheel arch liner. Older versions have combined fuel pump/sender in the tank (under R.H part of rear seat).
You should be able to hear a faint purr from the pump when ignition is turned on but engine not yet running.

SOURCE: truck stalled out while driving will not start

Not sure about your truck older Fords have 2 fuel pumps 1 in the tank & 1 under cab drivers side. Anytime you change a pump you must change your filter. also check your fuel line if it has been pinched or has a leak pressure will drop

ML 320 CDI 2008 Model. Car cuts out while driving, fault code: fuel rail pressure low.

it needs a cat converter to enable the ECM to function properly next low fuel pressure can be from EVAP system not venting the tank properly, failing fuel pump or faulty pressure regulator unloading too much fuel and dropping the pressure
at this point I would be looking at the EVAP system , then the pressure regulator

Wen u disconect fule fillter n turned motor over and petrol came out but no real fast is that the pump gone

turning an engine over to check fuel flow only works on engines with mechanical fuel pumps
all electric pumps should produce full flow as soon as the ignition is turned on
if you have a efi car then have the fuel pressure checked at the fuel manifold as that will show a faulty pump, regulator problem or blockages to vents or hoses.

Will run only by squiring fuel into carb.

Hi Del:
Sounds like you're well on the way to solving this.
There is a fuel delivery problem to deal with.
Either:
- the carb is gummed up,
- the filter is plugged, or
- the fuel pump is on vacation.

With the top of the carb exposed, look into the barrel(s) and pump the throttle linkage. The accelerator pump will squirt gas that you should be able to see. If there is gas, that should mean that the fuel pump is working, and the problem will possibly be blocked carb jets. A carb cleaning would be in order.

No gas?
- Check the fuel filter
- Check fuel pump

My guess from personal experience would be the fuel pump.

My 4514 Honda has a snow blower for the winter . It keeps stalling and the fuel pump never shuts off so I guess isn't pressurizing . I pulled the fuel line at the carb & it is pumping gas ....

sounds as if there is sticky gum in the carb that is keeping the float from seating unless it is hot enough to unstick. Take the carb bowl off and examine it for gum (real old gasoline will do that.

No power in my fuel pump fuel relay for fuel pump

Get yourself a wiring diagram & study it & then
start testing the fuel circuit

How would you know whether you had power or
now power, to anything, working blindly?

You listen to what your told.
I wouldn't-- you may have changed a good fuel pump

I NEVER walk to any vehicle without a wiring diagram

How would you learn the system & the circuits, without one?

gas or diesel ? if its gas find shrader valve (tire valve looking thing) on injector fuel manafold top of engine tap key on/off several times depress center of valve with plastic point nothing metal (old ink pen?) look for fuel to briefly spray out a bit (shield eye's) no fuel ck fuel pump , filter and inertia switch ,yes fuel ck all the sensors the injectors are not firing
Diesel ? A 86 would be A IdI type so loosen fuel fitting(one turn) to top of # 4 injector (you can't reach others) Do not remove it (High pressure!!!) crank engine several times over look for fuel leak at fitting thats loose ,it might even start if injector pump was airlocked that happens alot from sitting ,if it does don't get your body near loose fitting(high pressure) too dangerous shut off key and tighten fitting then restart engine

P0087 p0088

code p0087 is pressure too low--- causes include fuel supply pipe blockage and code p0088 refers to fuel return line blockage. While you have changed every thing covered in the causes I suggest you have a look for a common point that the pipes run together that could be kinked or squashed . The low fuel pressure could be from a vacuum in the tank from a faulty cap . If the lines are rubber and run in the boot check that something like a spare tyre is not cutting off fuel supply and return

1994 jimmy 4.3 vortec. revs and idles perfect in park. start driving down road and engine surges almost cuts out. even tried putting under load with foot on brake gave it gas, no misses till driving down...

This sounds like a dirty fuel filter to me hence the load has no effect till driving as the fuel supply will be proportional to the revolutions of the engine whether it's fuel injection or not. When you are driving you are obviously using more fuel so the demand is greater for fuel and if the fuel line is blocked in any way it will do what it is doing.Although there might also be a blockage in another section of the fuel line and if yours is a carburettor model then the fuel jets or air jets in the carb might have dirt in them.Plus fuel pump might be on it's way out due to wear.If fuel injection model, then your fuel distributor may also have dirt or gunge build up, or fuel injection pump is not functioning as it shouild due to age or dirt.If none of these solutions are correct then you will have to start looking at the ignition line, Faulty module, distributor etc.
