You need to get a puller they are just pressed on by the harmonic balancer there is a key and a tapered fit.

yes you will have to pull it off as well same way you pulled the harmonic balancer when you tighten the balancer onto the shaft it presses the timing gear on.

My car has been sitting in my garage for about 4years and now can't restart it it's a Nissan skyline gt25t I have replaced the battery and fuel turns over but will not start

just a suggestion, pull number one sparkplug out, make sure the threads are grounded to engine metal, have someone turn it over a few cranks while your looking at the sparkplug electrodes to see if theres any spark, then go from there.

I have a 1996 Nissan 200sx coupe while I was driving the car died when Itied to restartit would just turn over without starting, but whenIhold clutchin it turnsover but when you letout clutchitcatches

Need the codes read first. A lot of times it's the crank sensor. Could be a timing belt. Remove a couple bolts on the timing cover and pull it back some. It should be tight on the cam gear. If so, Hold the cover(being careful) and have some one crank the engine over, watch to see if the cam gear turns.

I have an old Datsun forklift with a Nissan H20 engine that won't start. I popped the distributor cap and the distributor is not turning when I crank the engine . What is broken?

Pull the distributor and check if the gear on end of dist. shaft is attached. The roll pin holding the gear may have sheared off.

If it is not the distributor, check the timing chain still works.

How do you set the timing on a 94 Nissan Sentra?

There is 3 marks on the timing chain, 2 are exactly 16 links apart and the other is 22 from either of the 2. The engine should be at top dead center. Line the 2 (16 apart) marks with marks on your cam gears and the 3rd with your crank gear. Torque cam bearings to 100 inch lbs.

Can i fit a turbo skyline engine (rb30) in a nissan sentra 1987

Hi,

Thanks for using FixYa.

The answer is... Yes you can... All it requires is patience and skills. You'd need to squeeze the engine in your car. This might require you to cut some chassis parts in your engine bay just to accommodate such big and powerful engine. Best wishes with the engine swap buddy.

Thanks. Have a good one.
