Question about 1999 Isuzu Rodeo
My 2001 Isuzu Rodeo will sometimes not start when I turn the key. All dashboard lights come on but it will not crank. I have to turn the key back and remove it then reinsert it and keep trying. This has happened approximately 10 times in the past 2 months. A couple of those times there was a kind of metallic clank sound when the key was turned prior to it starting. Other times it cranks right up on the first try with no problems! What could this be?
Check battery cables & terminals for tightness & corrosion.also check at starter.check starter bolts & actual starter for looseness.if no problems found your starter may be on its way out.next time it happens hit starter with hammer or heavy object if it starts right up get ready to replace it.good luck
