Question about Toyota FJ Cruiser

2 Answers

Hello, I have an 2009 FJ Cruiser (bought and imported from the States to Switzerland). Since I got it, the passenger airbag light is always on (in fact signaling that the passenger airbag is off). I can see it first on the main screen (just behind the wheel) and on the central console of the car. Both lights are on. My Toyota garage here in Geneva is unable to find the solution to take that light out, since they don't have the "plan" of the electrical system (network) of the car. Does that plan somewhere exist, to avoid my garage to completely dismantle the car and look after each cable and where it goes and for what purpose ? Thanks a lot in advance if you can help me on this. Alexandre Czech. Geneva. +41/22/7189400

My airbag light and dinger goes off every few minutes in my PT Cruiser. How can I get it to stop?

you have a airbag sensor somewhere. you cant do it yourself, because it could cause all airbags to go off. take it to a place and tell them you have a bad airbag sensor

How do I change out passenger tail light on fj cruiser?

I have to do the same thing. From all I have read you have to remove all the inner plastic in the rear of the vehicle first. Then it is easy. there are three screws/nuts that hold the taillight assembly in.
The main problem is to reach the frontmost (toward the front of the FJ) screw/nut in order to remove the whole apparatus.
Hope this helps

FJ cruiser issue

I had the same thing happen yesterday. I took it to the dealer, and they said the Catalytic Converter was bad and they needed to order a new one. You should take it to the dealer.

PT Cruiser passenger airbag light and bell go off without reason

HI I may have found y the airbag light goes off and on on pt cruisers. there is a pair of wires that connect to the seat air bag pod, the wires run down the seat and to a connector in th floor. after long in vestigation i found that even thou the wires have a conduit protecting them the wires run under the foam pad and over a steel bar, which caused 1 wire to be cut inside yet there was no tell tale sign from out side the sleeve, it was only when I disconected the battery and then the connector from the airbag and the floor connector removed it and run a meter on the two I found it. when i "pulled" the leads the outer sleeve stretched exposing the fault, the wire had a very clean break in it which was odd but the fault. note that only one wire powers the air bag, the other is a feed to the PCM, hence they are connected at the ends hence not easy to trace and with saftey in mind you must not put meters on the wires while connected to any part of the airbag
