take it to a shop and have them run a diagnostic on it so you know for sure whats wrong whether its the trac control or the transmission

I can't give you an explanation for why the car is telling you to check trac. control but i can try to give some help on maybe fixing it. Try - turning on the car, turn the traction control off, turn the car off, turn the car on. Then turn the traction control back on and push the system check button. That should i guess "reset" the trac control system.
Now the noise from the front right of the car is MOST LIKELY the air compressor pumping air into the bags. (i own a 97 Continental but i've never had a problem witht the trac control)

Have the ABS Braking System tested
You most likely have a Bad Wheel Speed Sensor
The Control Switch on console does absolutely nothing,I know
I have a 2004 LS
You can not disconnect a thing
I have the factory wiring diagrams &
the answer is no
You have dash lights on-- why have you not checked for
codes & resolved the problem, same procedure when
ever any dash light stays on after motor is running
An dash light on you have an OBD2 system failure
