Question about 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT
My 1999 pontiac Grand Am was making a knocking sound from one of the pistons. Then I noticed oil and antifreeze mixture on the oil stick. Can someone let me know if I blown the engine of the head. It will start if I put water or antifreeze in it but the water runs out and it stalls.
Don't try to start the car anymore! You have blown your head gasket. Take the car to a mechanic and have them check the engine out to make sure you haven't done any further damage to the piston. If not, have them replace the head gasket and you should be good. Hopefully it's just the head gasket and you don't need to rebuild the motor. Hope this helps. Thanks for an honest rating and for using FixYa.
