How to install a new a/c belt without interfering with timing?

I need to install a new a/c belt on my 99 concorde lxi 3.2L EFI, will this mess with the timing on the engine?

No, this won't have any affect on the timing. You are thinking of the timing belt, THAT would require alignment of timing marks when removed/replaced in order to maintain proper timing.

No because the car wont be runing obviously and changing a belt will not affect timing at all

2000 chrysler concorde lxi 3.2l started with timing belt unaligned


Or worse, if it has bent valves, so yes do check compression. That is an interference engine design.

The pump comes out the top

I would recommend a shop manual or maybe a DIY book. There are important steps involving the hydraulic belt tensioner.

I ran my 99 Concorde LXi on a computer to get codes. I need a new top coil #1. Which coil would that be?? Any help would be awesome


#1 coil is on #1 cylinder. should be on drivers side, first coil at the front of the engine. another easy way to tell which is #1 is to look at the coilson both front sides. the coil that is farthest forward toward the front of the car is #1. Don

I got an 01 concorde LXi 3.5 L need oil pan


they make oil drain plug repair kits for this problem, contact NAPA or Carquest for detailes, no need to replace the oil pan.

Timing belt


you will need to rull the timing cover off if belt has not spun or broke remove belt and install new one if belt has spun or broke you will need to line up timing marks on cams and crank and install belt
